Gary Lynn Peek

Mr. Gary Lynn Peek, 59, originally of Dozier, passed away Mon., Feb. 1, 2016, at his residence in Flomaton. Mr. Peek graduated from Dozier High School, where he excelled as a member and leader of the football team. He then joined the family business, Peek Trucking, starting as a driver, later moving into full management, and eventually owning the company, which he ran successfully until his retirement.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Sat., Feb. 6, 2016, at Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Pat Carden officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Edith Peek of Flomaton; sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and John Joyner of Dozier; brother, Warren Peek of Dozier; brother and sister-in-law, John M. and Barbara Peek of Andalusia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gary was predeceased by his parents, Robert Gaston and Maryeve Peek; his brother, Robert Daniel Peek; and his great friend, Travis Duke.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions are made in Mr. Peek’s memory to the Methodist Men’s Ministry of Brewton.

Bessie Susan Ezell Daniel
Ms. Bessie Susan Ezell Daniel, 55, of Opp died Tues., Feb. 2, 2016 in the Opp Health & Rehab. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Fri., Feb. 5, 2016, from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wyatt Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

 Ms. Daniel is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery Gantt and Kelly Amanda Daniel; sisters & brothers-in-law, Jean and Stan Bess, Shirley and Stuart Cohen and Diane and Jimmy Burditt; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas William Ezell and Dorothy Martin Hallford; and sister and brother-in-law, Katie & James Watts.
