Lady Bulldogs top Red Level

The Andalusia Lady Bulldogs fell to Flomaton in game one, but picked up a big win over Red Level in the night cap.

RED LEVEL 0

The Lady Bulldogs picked up four runs in the opening inning and then tacked on 13 runs in the bottom of the second to go on to a 17-0 win.

Chloe Mikel, Millie Manring, Merikal McCaskill, Zaria Jones and Raegen Clark each picked two RBIs in the win.

Mary Katherine Salter and Haley Ballard each drove in one run.

Salter was the winning pitcher for the Bulldogs with five strikeouts in just two innings of work for the freshman.

“I thought we played better in that last game against Red Level,” Andy coach Anthony Mikel said. “Our bats came alive in that second game.

 

FLOMATON 4, 

ANDALUSIA 0

The Lady Bulldogs couldn’t get much going with sticks in the first game and lost 4-0 to Flomaton despite playing great defense.

Sydney Ray pitched three innings for the Lady Bulldogs giving up four hits and one strikeout.

RED LEVEL 6

Red Level rallied after falling behind early, but couldn’t overcome the early deficit in a 12-6 loss.

Hannah Colvin led the Lady Tigers by going 2-for-2 at the plate.

Alexis Perdue and Marianne Vigor each went 1-for-1.
