The Pleasant Home Eagles held the lead for most of the game, but the Red Level Tigers rallied in the bottom of the seventh for a 3-2 victory.

“I never felt like we were out of it,” Red Level head coach Tony Ingram said. “This is just a testament to the kids that if they never give up anything can happen. They never hung their head and never felt like we were out of it. They kept fighting and found a way to win.”

The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third when R.D. Clark scored off a single from Aaron Warthen.

Pleasant Home went up 2-0 in the top of fifth, but couldn’t get another run across.

“The word of the day is complacent,” Eagles’ head coach Chris Mason said. “We got complacent in the field and got complacent with two runs. That’s what happens when you let a team like Red Level hang around. We got a great performance on the mound from Walt Weaver, but we just couldn’t hit the ball well enough.”

In the bottom of the seventh down 2-1, Red Level’s Chance Russell drove in Cale Mancil to tie the game, and a walk to Hunter Carpenter loaded the bases.

Dillon Jordan came up and lifted the first pitch he saw to left field. The left fielder came up with the catch, but Jachen Hartz had plenty of time to tag up from third and score the winning run.
