Emma Brooks Copeland

Mrs. Emma Brooks Copeland, 78, of Andalusia, passed away Tues., April 19, 2016, at her daughter’s residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thurs., April 21, at Hopewell Baptist Church with interment in Hopewell Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hopewell Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Herbert Brown of Greenville; a son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Melissa Copeland of the Red Oak community, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold Brooks of Red Level, J. R. and Erline Brooks of Sanborn, N.Y., William L. “Pete” and Carolyn Brooks of Alex City, Henry and Willie Mae Brooks of Houston, Texas; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Stella Taylor of Andalusia, Annette and Bobby Martin of Monroeville, and Darthy and Wynton Melton of Geneva.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Carey Eugene Copeland; her parents, Dalton and Myrtle Brooks; a brother, Woodrow Brooks; and two sisters, Annie Merle Allen and Mary Jewel Brooks.
