The grocery chain Winn-Dixie plans to donate all profits earned on the Fourth of July to America’s veterans and their families for the second straight year.

The grocer has partnered with Hope For The Warriors, a national nonprofit dedicating to helping service members and their families.

While Hope For the Warriors helps all veterans, its specific focus is on those who participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. The charity has received a Four-Star rating from Charity Navigator and has also been highlighted by President George W. Bush in the Warrior Open charity golf tournament.

Nationally, Hope For The Warriors provides comprehensive support programs for service members, veterans and military families that are focused on transition, health and wellness, peer engagement and connection to community resources.

Additionally, customers may choose to donate extra money at the register. For their donation, customers receive a dedication card to write a personal message to vets. Copies of the messages will be displayed on a “Wall of Honor” at each Winn-Dixie location.

Last year, the event raised more than $3 million for wounded veterans.
