Florala falls in close games

The Florala Wildcats kept the scores close on Friday in the Red Level Christmas Tournament, but fell in both varsity contest.

In boys’ action, the Wildcats fell 54-37 to T.R. Miller.

“Turnovers really killed us in the first half,” Florala head coach Troy Stewart said. “I challenged the guys at halftime to win each possession, and I felt like the defense stepped it up in the second half.”

The Lady Wildcats gave Georgiana a run for their money, but it was the Lady Panthers who inched out at 58-44 victory.
