Kinston woman arrested for drugs

A Kinston woman is facing felony drug charges after being stopped in Opp Tuesday night.
An Opp Police Department D-Shift patrol officer, who was conducting routine patrol on Main Street, stopped a 2012 Dodge Durango for driving without lights just before 8 p.m.
Opp Police Chief Mike McDonald said that an investigation by officers and K9 Bella resulted din the arrest of Christy Jacobs Davis, 38, of Kinston.
She was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Possession of a controlled substance is a class C felony.
Davis was booked into the Covington County Jail and her case was turned over to the 22nd Judicial Drug Task Force.
