Pleasant Home outlast Rocky Bayou

The Pleasant Home Eagles improve to 2-0 on the young season after knocking off Rocky Bayou Christian (Fla.) 9-2 on Tuesday night in Pleasant Home.

Pleasant Home jumped out front 2-0 in the bottom of the first inning when Joe Gibbs drove in Garrett Barton and Walt Weaver.

In the bottom of the fourth inning,  Aaron Warthen drive in Barton with a single and Mason Kelley followed with a two-run triple to give the Eagles a 7-0 lead.

Parker Lloyd gave the Eagles an 8-0 lead heading into the fifth inning after doubling home Kelley.

Rocky Bayou tacked on two runs off of a double and single in the top of the fifth inning trim the Eagle lead down to 8-2.

Gibbs drove in Barton in the bottom of the fifth to give the Eagles a 9-2 lead.

Gibbs led the way at the plate for the Eagles with two runs scored and three runs driven in on the way to Pleasant Home’s 9-2 win.
