A third person has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of the Opp Church’s Chicken.

Opp Police Chief Mike McDonald said that on Thursday, investigators arrested Janee R. Hines, 29, of Opp for tampering with physical evidence.

“The evidence in question was related to the robbery of the Church’s Chicken that occurred on Feb. 28,” he said.

He did not provide further details on how Hines tampered with evidence.

Earlier this month, the OPD arrested two for the incident that occurred around 9:49 p.m., at the restaurant located on the Florala Highway, which was robbed at gunpoint.

OPD arrested Michael Hale Jr., 28, of Opp and charged him with first-degree robbery.

They also arrested Raymond “Ray Ray” Lattimore, 22, of Opp for first-degree robbery.
