Senior Summit to address health care, grief, insurance

Topics will range from elder abuse to grief to obstructive sleep apnea when Comfort Care Hospice hosts its 2017 spring summit on Fri., April 7, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The event includes breakfast and lunch, and door prizes. Nurses and social workers who participate can earn continuing education credits.

Speakers include Attorney Clayton Davis; Covington County District Attorney Walt Merrell; James D. Anderson – RRT, RPSGT; the Rev. George Hill; and Beverly Groce. Other topics include healthcare laws, retirement and estate planning, and long-term life insurance.

Breakfast will be provided by LHC Home Health, and lunch from David’s Catfish will be sponsored by Comfort Care Hospice an dOpp Health and Rehab.

The event is set for the Family Life Fellowship Hall of Bethany Baptist Church. There is no charge for admission, but those interested in participating are asked to RSVP to 334.427.4000 to reserve a spot.
