The Andalusia Chamber Music Society (ACMS) presents The Cavell Trio in concert on April 7, 2017, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on East Three Notch Street in Andalusia, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

“We are very excited to begin the fifth season of the Andalusia Chamber Music Society with a concert of mainly 20th Century music, including works by Jacques Ibert and George Gershwin, as well as the modern composer Amir Zaheri,” said Dr. Herb Riedel, ACMS co-founder.

“The performers are comprised of faculty from the Hot Springs Music Festival and Principals in the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra.  We invite everyone to come and experience the beautiful sounds of the oboe, clarinet, and bassoon–played with a high level of skill and sensitivity.”

The trio includes Shelly Myers on oboe, Osiris J. Milina, clarinet, and Jenny Mann on bassoon.

These musicians have performed at many venues nationally, as well as at the International Clarinet Association conference in Assisi, a town in the Umbria Region of Italy.  In addition, the group performs recitals for young musicians in public schools throughout Alabama, Arkansas and Georgia. They completed recording of their third album in 2016.

Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for students, and are available at LBW Community College president’s office in Andalusia, Harold’s Furniture, St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, or at the door. For more information, call 334-881-2212.
