OPD arrests Michigan teens

The Opp Police Department arrested two Michigan teens for drugs Sunday morning.

OPD Chief Mike McDonald said that a B-Shift officer stopped a 2012 black Chevrolet Impala that was southbound on the Opp Bypass in the area of Cool Springs intersection.

“The officer stopped the vehicle for speeding,” he said. “A subsequent investigation by the officer resulted in the vehicle operator, James H. Cameron, a 19-year-of-age male resident of Lansing, Mich., being arrested and charged with possession of marihuana second degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, and minor in possession of alcohol.”

A passenger in the vehicle, Tyrone D. Brown, 18, also of Lansing was arrested and charged with possession of marihuana second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
