A two-vehicle crash at 3:40 p.m. Sat., July 15, has claimed the life of a Georgetown, Ky. woman and injured two others.

Karen Sue Ritchie, 46, was critically injured when the 2015 Toyota Tundra, in which she was a passenger, was struck head-on by a 2005 Nissan Altima driven by William Antonio Edwards, 21, of Opp.  Ritchie was transported by air to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Fla., where she was pronounced dead Sun., July 16, at 11:45 a.m.

Kevin Ritchie, who was driving the Tundra, and Edwards, were transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

The crash occurred on U.S. 331 at the 18.40 mile marker, three miles south of Opp.  Nothing further is available as State Troopers continue to investigate.
