Straughn High School’s Kila Owens dominated the competition recently at the 25th Annual Mississippi Association Clash of Champions at Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, Miss.

The Andalusia Isshinryu Karate student and AIK black belt competitor won the Women’s Black Belt Grand Championship at the Clash of Champions.

Owens also won first place in Women’s Black Belt kata and kumite. She placed third in Adult Black Belt weapons, which included men and women.
