The Covington County Republican Party will host an evening of food and fellowship on Mon., Oct. 16, at 6 p.m. at Power Plant Marketplace on Tisdale Street in Andalusia, across from the Three Notch Museum.  The public is invited.

Republican candidates for governor, lt. governor, and other statewide offices, along with local candidates, will meet and greet attendees. The statewide candidates will each speak briefly.

The event is free.  It is requested that those attending RSVP by emailing gbwcpa@andycable.com to confirm attendance or ask for a free ticket for the event from members of the Covington County Republican Party Executive Committee or at White & McClung’s offices at 218 South Three-Notch St.

RSVPs are needed in order to prepare enough food. Limited seating will be provided, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

For more information about the event, call Covington County GOP Party Chairman William Blocker at 334-804-5106.

The event was previously planned for Sept. 11 at Oakwood Lodge, but was postponed due to stormy weather caused by Hurricane Irma. The GOP is refunding money paid for those tickets, which will be accepted at the door on Oct. 16.
