The Child Advocacy Center is holding its annual stuffed animal drive, which runs through Oct. 22, and coincides with the Kiwanis Covington County Fair.

The agency accepts new or gently used stuffed animals, which can be donated at the Child Advocacy Center’s Fair booth.

The stuffed animals are used for the children who are referred to the center, and used as a comfort measure.

“The children who come to our center, often don’t have things of their own,” director Kaci Perry said, “The stuffed animals help calm them down.”

Last year, the center received a good amount of stuffed animals, but Perry said they could always use more.

“The turn out last year was great, people even brought stuffed animals to the center after the fair was over,” Perry said.
