The playoff picture is beginning to take shape and the following players helped lead their teams to victories in pivotal region match ups on Friday night.

Andalusia clinched the Class 4A, Region 1 title for the second-straight year with a 28-6 win over Satsuma.

Sophomore running back Caleb Smallwood got the start in place of an injured Roosevelt Weaver III. Smallwood rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns in the Bulldog win.

Bulldog tight end R.J. Drish caught three passes for 50 yards and one touchdown.

The Straughn Tigers got their first win of the season on Friday night thanks to big games from Campbell Hudson and Clay Ashberry.

Hudson rushed for 127 yards in the win.

Ashberry connected with a 34-yard field goal as time expired to give the Tigers the win.

Opp got another region win on Friday night with strong games from Reggie Thompson and Allan Morrow.

Thompson passed for 259 yards and three touchdowns.

Morrow had 10 tackles and three sacks.
