Wedding: Smith and Belcher
Mr. and Mrs. John Kyle Smith of the Red Oak Community are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lesley Dorissa Smith, to James Russell Belcher Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. James Russell Belcher.
Miss Smith is the maternal granddaughter of Illa Ruth Norris and the late Fairon A. Norris of Andalusia. She is the paternal granddaughter of June Smith and the late John Marvin Smith of Andalusia.
Mr. Belcher is the maternal grandson of the late Ivalene Johnson Reeves of the Svea Community. He is the paternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Rex Belcher of Florala.
The wedding will take place Nov. 1, 2008, at 5 o’clock in the afternoon at Red Oak Baptist Church, with reception to follow in the fellowship hall.
All friends and family are invited to attend this celebration.
Wedding: Ramer and King
Jennifer Ramer and Josh King, both of Andalusia, would like to announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Rita Peacock and Irvin Ramer. The prospective groom is the son of Laura Coleman and Tom King, all of Andalusia.
The couple will exchange vows at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 18, 2008, in an outdoor ceremony at the home of Mike and Kathy Huber at 21426 Padgett Road in Andalusia.
All family and friends are invited to attend. A reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
Wedding: Davis and Oglesby
Mr. and Mrs. James Folsom Davis of Monroeville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emilie Nan, to Mr. Joseph Edward Oglesby of Monroeville. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bibb Collins Oglesby of Monroeville.
Emilie Nan is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert James Morrison of Pensacola, Fla., and Mrs. James Folsom Davis of Jacksonville, Fla., and the late Mr. James Folsom Davis. The bride is a 2008 graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in art. She is currently employed as a junior high English and art teacher at Monroe Academy.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Abner Gillis Jones of River Falls, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bibb Collins Oglesby of Red Level. Joseph is a 2005 graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in international business. He is currently employed with his family’s business, Monroe Scrap Material.
The wedding is set for Dec. 13, 2008, at 5:30 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church of Monroeville. The reception will immediately follow at the Hybart House. All friends and family are invited to attend.
