Engagement: Albritton and Thorpe

Mr. and Mrs. William Harold Albritton IV of Hoover announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Rollins Albritton, to John Bannon Thorpe II, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Fried Thorpe of Mountain Brook.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Judge and Mrs. William Harold Albritton of Montgomery and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leighton Warren Smith of Mobile. Miss Albritton is a 2007 graduate of The University of Alabama where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. She is employed by the Mountain Brook Board of Education as a second grade teacher at Cherokee Bend School.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Franklin Vandiver of Huntsville and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Anderson of New Orleans, La. Mr. Thorpe is a 2007 graduate of Washington and Lee University, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and currently attends the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine.
The wedding will take place at Oakland Green in Lincoln, Va., on June 12, 2010.
