Former FPD officer on NBC’s ‘Dateline’ will be tried in Florida

Published Tuesday, November 10, 2009

Authorities in Walton County, Fla., have announced they will seek prosecution against the former Florala police officer arrested nearly three years ago in conjunction with Dateline NBC’s “To Catch a Predator” series.

Todd Monroe Spikes, a 44-year-old resident of Defuniak Springs, Fla., was arrested December 2006 as a result of a four-day sexual predator sting operation coordinated by the watchdog group, Perverted Justice, and the Flagler Beach (Fla.) Police Department and filmed as part of Dateline NBC.

He had allegedly traveled to Flagler Beach to meet what he thought was a 13-year-old girl named “Lindsay,” who turned out to be a decoy.

Walton County’s Public Information Officer Mike Gurspan said Spikes is being held in the Walton County Jail without bond.

We can Trust in GOD, and God alone! When this country begins to turn back to God, we will begin to see a difference in society's behavior, not until! Otherwise, our great nation of America is going down the sewer and there is NO hope!

Just who approved Chuck Bailey to be involved in this stunt using the taxpayers car and fuel? I don't believe I voted on it. Did they sign a waiver in case something happened to them while they were riding in the patrol car with Chuck?

Looks like bad judgemnet on somebody's part to allow this.

Look, stop using MY tax dollars to take this creep to trial, keep him fed, etc... and let me take him hunting. Deer season is in, and GUN season is only days away. Let's stop the insanity by using what money WE don't have, to pay for these type individuals to keep EXISTING. If it were my daughter, or loved one; there would be no separate judge, eucutioner, trial etc... I would do all of the above for the same price; THE COST OF A RIFLE BULLET. One needs to step away from God for a moment when it comes to cleansing this world of such scum. One bullet at a time, we can come around to a decent society. Nowadays, I SLEEP WITH A PEACEMAKER. The world is in an econimc CRISIS, but we continue to jail, feed, bathe, rehabilitate these oxygen thieves; (AT OUR EXPENSE). Good thing I am not in charge, because there would be a gallows at every corner. Just like we have found that ground up animal remains is GOOD fertilizer and such like, we could do the same for kid rapists, murders (unjustified) , etc... In closing, I would like to say, May God have mercy on their sole if EVER one tries his/her malice on me, or my family and may God have mercy on us all!!!

Good post lookeyhere, There are alot of people with power doing alot of things wrong these days. My true belief is the united states is going to hell and we are going very fast. When a country tries to take God out of everything then demise will sure to follow. The world is sin, everyone is a sinner and has fallen short of the glory of God. This is why Jesus died for our sins so we can have life. A country will not stand and will not last without God.
