Politicians mistake media for paparazzi

Published Friday, November 13, 2009

Dear Editor,

After watching all the news coverage, documentaries, talk shows and media blitzes, I have come to realize the problem with Washington, Congress, the White House, the czars and our appointed department heads is that they think the press is the paparazzi and people in government are movie stars.

Paparazzi go after people who are famous, whether in movies, models, theatre, royalty, or scandals. They are interested in catching them at their worst, gossiping and giving half-truths so the public will buy their smut publications. The have information and photos to sell — not a full-time dedicated job.

The media is — or should be — educated, skilled, professional journalists who are dedicated to a creed of truth, discovery and the constitutional rights of all. They are supposed to bring the public the whole truth and investigate the backgrounds and activities of our appointed politicians, so we as citizens can make an informed decision to either vote or not vote for these individuals, or to actively protest against their actions. They are supposed to be only motivated by the truth, which can be investigated by the public to be found true, based on what is reported on Fox News and C-SPAN. The rest of the networks act like a bunch of bought-off, scared paparazzi who only provide the public with stenciled-in facts, and only at the beacon call of their employers, or lobbyists, or officials.

Our politicians need to understand that without our support, they are just another face out there in the street like us, trying to pay their bills, hold their jobs and support the troops and their families. We don’t like fake, made-up half-truths and people who are so full of themselves there just isn’t enough room in there for anyone else. Is that why they say it’s lonely at the top? It must be.

So, White House, Congress, senators, czars and appointed heads, which are you? Are you politicians or movie stars? You can’t be both.

And to all you networks, are you paparazzi or journalists? Which is it, because you can’t be both.

Perhaps our politicians forgot to take off their campaign hats filled with half-truths, egos, recruitment words for lobbyists and all the other fake stuff involved with campaigns.

The hats of elected officials should be filled with truth, the whole truth, dedication, support for the Constitution as it is written, our military, families, morals and open and transparent leadership.

Don’t be fooled, movie-star-politicians. You don’t give us enough credit. You might think we are ignorant, but a lot of us know more than you give us credit for. We know that part of lobbying and being in politics go hand in hand with lying, half-truths, secrecy … shoot, most of the words that come out of your mouths are not even your words and thoughts, but those of the ones under and around you. That’s why we want to know all about the people surrounding our elected officials, because we know they are the horses that pull the carts you ride in.

So, politicians, don’t give journalists “crap” when they do the jobs they are meant to do. Just try to do your jobs better.

Remember the old saying, “If you don’t want someone to see what you’re doing with one hand, then shine the light on the other hand to keep the public occupied.” Well, guess what? We’ve got two lights — one for you, and one for your associates. It’s true that your past will come up and kick you in the butt. Do you feel anything yet? You will.

Very good article!!! The only problem, these people you speak of think it doesn't apply to them. A lot of things go on in this county that never gets in the newspaper but it is talked about amongest the citizens. I realize these things happen in large cities because I haven't always lived here. It is just easy in small towns to keep up with what is going on because everyone knows everyone. I enjoy reading the Star News, but some times I wonder who they are getting paid by to keep some things out of the newspaper. I could give examples but they are past history and it would do no good. Just remember when you go vote next year what you have heard. If some of the elected officials don't get reelected it could be in part due to the lack of coverage in the newspaper putting it out there with the whole truth.

Ms. Beesley - I like C-span because it allows you to see what is happening and make you on conclusions.

Fox Noise makes their conclusions and tells you how you are supposed to think. I have stopped watching the National Republican Network (Fox Noise) when they brought Karl Rove in to do the impartial cost analysis of the healthcare reform bill. Donald Duck would have been a better choice.

I would like to address the point of your written opinion, but you I couldn’t find one.

People watch Fox News to hear something they agree with - to vindicate their beliefs of what the news should be, not as it is. Real news does not pander to an audience, in any way, shape, or form.

Maobama wouldn't make a pimple on Karl Rove's arse. You can keep the Communist News Network, etc. I'll trust Fox News over CNN, MSNBC (what a joke), and the alphabet networks any day.

Sounds like some of you have had dealings with Bubba. I have known him for nearly 30 years, and he is a fine officer and one we can be proud of. So, if you don't like him, find somewhere else to live. Because, we would rather have him here than you. Case closed.

I can't say I watch C-Span to get my news -- didn't even know it was a news station. I do watch Fox News because they provide me with two sides to each story and I get to make up my own mind. I know they lean right but they are not laying down as those other "noise networks--I like that" are. ACORN, Green, and Dunn are three BIG stories that should have been covered by all news networks but were only covered by FOX until they were exposed by FOX to the world.
iamabookworm, you make a great point about real news but you neglected to tell us where you find such news on your TV dial.

Fox Noise and the pictures of the "Tea Party" last week. Oh! Only about 1,000 showed up, so you accidentally show pictures of a rally from years ago where 50,000 showed up. Then when they are caught they say it was an accident.

Fox Noise for the coverage on the proliferation of rightwing “hate groups” or “anti-abortion terrorist groups”! Oh, they don't cover those!

Acorn registered non-qualified voters. How did the government discover the non-qualified voters? Acorn’s QA procedures red tagged them and more (qualified voters that were questionable) for the government agencies. Oh that wasn’t covered on Fox Noise! Acorn provides low cost housing for an estimated 50,000 Americans! Oh Fox Noise didn’t mention that!

The truth about Sarah Palin’s record as Alaska’s governor. Fox Noise didn’t cover that!

Fox Noise only covers rightwing republican good stories, distorts them with accidental mistakes, and ignores moderate working people stories. Fox Noise even degrades moderate republicans. Even the rightwing radicals need a propaganda voice and it is provided by Fox Noise.

Patrick: You are wearing out your cutsie moniker for Fox News. Apparently you do watch Fox News, otherwise, how would you be able to 'report' what you wrote about the "Tea Party" or that Fox News "covers rightwing republican good stories, distorts them with accidental mistakes, and ignores moderate working people stories. Fox Noise even degrades moderate republicans. Even the rightwing radicals need a propaganda voice and it is provided by Fox Noise." (By the way, that entire quote from you made absolutely no sense whatsoever!) How would you know all this if you are not a watcher of Fox News?

Why don't you report the truth about Sarah Palin's stint as govenor for Alaska, since you seem to think it is important. I could not care less what the truth is about Alaska's former govenor. I care only about the govenor of Alabama.

You refer to anti abortion terrorist groups; what do you mean by that reference? You are using the word terrorist very carelessly.

I am glad to know you support ACORN. That says a lot about you. Those 50,000 homes you tout as a good thing ACORN did, was the very reason we had a financial crisis this time last year! ACORN intimidated financial institutions to approve loans those folks were incapable of honoring! Now those 50,000 Americans are on the street because of foreclosure. Yippy skippy...you go ACORN!

Patrick: One more thing about ACORN and you saying they policed themselves and red tagged the unqualified voters they signed up.......If you believe that, could I interest you in the 200 acres of land I have in Northern Africa (Also known as the Sahara) that has 50 artisian well's that was given to me by Tinker Bell?

Posted by MoreCowBell (anonymous) on November 15, 2009 at 4:17 p.m. (Suggest removal)

Patrick..you need put that crack pipe down. ACORN QA red tagged illegal voters...right. Please name those "hate" groups you mentioned above. Are you referring to Christians (which you kind label as haters) or maybe tea party participates? What part of Palin's record wasn't covered by FNC? Why didn't the libtard networks cover the ACORN scandels, the Van Jones issue and others? I know FNC leans right but give me a break. One lone network that leans right in a sea of left leaning libtard networks. Maybe the quality of service given by the media (whether print or broadcast) is reflected in their ratings. FNC is doing quite well in the ratings as are the conservative print media outlets.

Great post, Patrick. LoyalAmerican, the self-styled patriot, is clueless. She has obviously never watched Jon Stewart and the Daily Show or Stephen Colbert and the Colbert Report on Comedy Central or Keith Olbermann's Countdown on MSNBC. All of these show either parody Fox or show its biases and inaccuracies. Jon Stewart's team of young producers are doing more investigative journalism than all the major networks, NBC, CBS, or ABC. Exposing how Sean Hannity spliced video footage of a much larger crowd of demonstrators to the story on the recent Capital Hill Tea Party was outstanding journalism. Even the pompous Sean Hannity had to apologize for this "accidental mistake." While this splicing was definitely a mistake, there was no plausible explanation of how it was accidental.

Estragon: Thank you for the compliment! At least you recognize me as a patriot! What I am clueless about is your fascination, along with Patrick's, with Fox News. I just don't get your fascination. I think you watch Fox much more than I. The only program I watch on Fox is Brett Baier. His regular guest, Charles Krauthammer, actually causes my heart to skip a beat! For folks such as yourself, who despise Fox News, you surely know a lot about the programming subject matter! Come on, be honest......are you a closet Fox Watcher?

You may find it surprising, but I have watched Jon Stewart on many occasions and have even enjoyed some of his shows!

By the way, speaking of mistakes, what about your president's flub on visiting (during the campaign)....52 states or so? And his recent "shout out" to Dr. Joe Crow as a Medal of Honor recipient, when actually it was a Medal of Freedom that Barry himself had bestowed just a short time ago. Oh yes, let us not forget Obama's "Austrian" language mistake! I could go on......but I will drop my stones if you will do the same!!

Lastly, no backup on ACORN? I just love the way you guys come to the rescue of the other! Then again, that is what birds of a feather do best!

Fox is the only news channel that I watch anymore. I have flip through the other programs and listened to the vile spewed at the American people on MSNBC and CNN, and I quickly turn the station before my grandchildren can hear. I am a white, Christian, Scottish-American; my people never owned slaves, believed that hard work and compassion, education were the pathway to success.

My favorite on Fox is Glenn Beck..followed by Bill O'Reilly. I want Sarah Palin for our next president. I don't like Obama..never have, never will. Doesn't matter to me what color he is..but of course, I will be called racist because I don't like him. That is what I am sick of..and that is why I don't watch anything but Fox News.

Mickey: I agree with your assessment regarding MSNBC-CNN- and I add ABC, CBS and NBC. They are all in the tank for Obama. I would watch more Programs if my schedule permitted. However, I do catch some on XM. These liberal network "journalists" treat Obama as if he were a rock star. He appears to consider himself a 'jetsetter' and roosts in Air Force One. In every instance, when I have given Obama the benefit of the doubt, to prove to me he can do the right thing, he blows it! He is a disgrace and I hope his decision to criminalize the Gitmo bunch, comes back to haunt him one thousand fold!

Loyal, I'm with you but I'm afraid that the criminalization of the islamofacist terrorists will come back to haunt us all. I don't see how the trial can not be thrown out since none were read their Miranda rights. I somehow wonder if our muslim-in-chief would like to see them set free. He seems to be hell bent in doing everything else he can to destroy America.

Mickey: I also agree with you about the so called News networks. If it wasn't for Foxnews and some print media, we would all be ignorant to Acorns crimes and Obama's and the democrat congress underhanded, un-American, unconstitutional tactics. Glenn Beck is my favorite on Fox because he has more guts than anyone I know and that why he is hated so bad by liberals. I like Brett Baier the next best and his panel, but Charles Krauthammer is definitely the smartest one on his show or any other. I also like Bill O'Reilly, but I think he is far too soft on Obama. Obama is a disgrace to any American with good sense, but then we have many that don't have that in their possession.

If this trial takes place, I want our troops brought home. Do they not realize what this will stir up in the Muslim world? This will not be a trial for terrorists but rather against the Bush administration. If none of what the terrorists knew is brought out because of their "rights"..because it was obtained through "torture"(pouring water over their heads as opposed to chopping them off) then, the only thing that will be heard is the TERRORISTS version and their lawyers about their crimes.

I too am scared of this decision to try the "terrorists" in a criminal trial rather than a military tribunal. The decision smacks of a political ploy but that is not what worries me the most. As I am sure you all already know...the rules in a court room are so slanted in favor of the accused. Rediculous rules of evidence will be exploited by a defense team that will have unlimited resources at their hand. A civilian trial is all about theatrics and smoke and mirrors and the ability to influence one or more people and their emotions, some of which will in all likelihood be Muslim supporters or sympathisers. Just imagine for a moment a trial like the infamous O.J circus complete with an aquittal for the cowards. The thought of it makes me sick...

rgodwin: Do you know what is truly unique about the majority of conservatives? We can admire and agree with those who do not espouse our own philosophy 100%. I totally respect Charles Krauthammer's brilliance and his stand on almost all issues. The two issues I hugely disagree with him are abortion and the death penalty. However, I will race at warp speed to get in place so I do not miss seeing him and hearing his words of true wisdom! I would watch him no matter the TV affiliate! And to think the left wing radicals call US intolerant! If folks don't see it 100% the liberal way, the lib's begin the name calling and maximum degradation onslaught against you! A liberal discounts the entire person with whom they disagree! To think...they have the audacity to call US rigid, clueless, maniacal, terrorists, yada yada........ Just my observation while reading some of the left wing radicals 'thoughts'!! Interesting isn't it?
MoreCowBell: You are on spot about our nation being haunted by the aftermath of this insane decision to try the war criminals in Federal court. For this decision, I hope the bite taken out of Obama and Holder's rear ends is of such magnitude they will go down in history as the disgraced dumbmatic duo who's tarnished names will last for all eternity. Tragically, it make take an acquittal to bring down this Obama circus!

As I read through the posts I find a consensus that the American news media is slanted towards the left, with the exception of Fox. I am still waiting to hear from imabookworm about where "real news" is broadcast. My news watching matches rgodwins. Although Glenn is not even a journalist he gets to the bottom of more news stories then all the real journalists put together. He is the only one that is holding the feet of the current administration to the fire. Sad testament to the real journalists of today. Biscuit I agree with you about the trial and am sure glad I live down here in the country as I believe all h### will break out in NYC and other big cities. But, the city government has gone along, I think for the money, and we know what the Bible says about that.

mickey: You nailed it! The game of distraction is a ploy. While we are up in arms about the Gitmo issues, the democrats will silently slip us a "mickey" (no pun intended) into the kool aid they are hoping we will drink! Obama will risk the very safety of America to expedite his agenda to nationalize/socialize this great country. Americans....DO NOT take you eyes of of any issue. We must be more vigilant than ever! While not underestimating them....by the same token.......NEVER underestimate the will and strength of an American when we have had enough!

Back to subject matter. Can anyone imagine Walter Cronkite describing a "thrill" running up or down his leg when referring to a politician? I think the news media understood well in advance what they had to do to stay in favor and good graces with the 'Chicago Machine" or as I prefer to call them, a gaggle of high salaried bullies. As we all now know, Obama is just a street wise guy who keeps count. If you speak ill of him, you won't be invited to WH parties or get a ride on Air Force One or better yet, get to bowl at the WH, etc.. So the liberal media sucks up and sells their soul! The one thing that is being overlooked by the media and Obama are the memories they are creating for us ..........and payback is going to be a real witch! As my dad always told me, "No bird flies too high that he doesn't have to come down for water!"
I, for one, plan on being at the watering hole a/k/a the voting booth. I shall not forget...ever.... what they have done to my country!

We can not afford to lose news sources such as Fox..whether you agree with them or not..it is important to have other view points and right now, Fox is the only one that has the courage to stand up to WH propaganda. Good grief! they(WH media) have even infilterated Seseame Street! Not that my grandkids ever watched that show anyway..but folks, DO MONITOR what your kids watch, what is being taught in school..and YELL, tell everyone you know if you see or hear anything that sounds like propaganda.

When I was young I enjoyed studying the rightwing German (Nazi) party theories. Hitler had just been defeated and many of his writings were still around. I truly enjoy reading the rightwing comments and drawing the comparisons between their ideas and the current extremist. I wouldn’t have looked at this paper today except for your comments. Patriotism and nationalism were the veils then as now.

It is encouraging to see that not everyone reading the paper isn’t a rightwing radical. I would encourage more of the moderate majority speak out.

Up until I saw the media madness and the ugliness of the left, I considered myself a Democrat..a conservative, liberal Democrat. I liked George Bush, but didn't like some of his policies. Like Obama, I thought that instead of going into Iraq..we should have gone into Pakistan..and even Saudi Arabia..but from all that I had read..I agreed that Iraq WAS building up stock piles of weapons with help from Russia and Iran.

I am paranoid and I wondered about why all the gas prices shot up just before Obama was elected and why our economy suddenly bottomed out..all just before Obama's election..and where did all the money come from in small amounts that couldn't be traced to help finance his campaign..and why does Obama seem afraid to confront the Iranian dictator...

And why does the majority of the press think the American people are stupid? Sounds like the propaganda used against the south after the Civil War(and STILL being used). Be careful, people or our American Flag will go the way of the Confederate Flag..it will be taken down and hidden as a symbol of oppression and and white supermacy.

Patrick: You rarely answer questions when asked to clarify your statements, but I am going to ask anyway. Do you consider conservatism and radicalism synonymous? If you do, are you comparing conservatives to Nazi's? I liken the German right wing philosophy, of Hitler's era, to a cucumber that is being pickled. At what point does the cucumber become a pickle? At what point did the German right wing veer and become maniacal? Is it a true pickle the day after canning, or do you have to wait weeks, months, years, for its true essence and flavor to emerge? Do we wait weeks, months or years if we see bubbles and slime in the pickle jar before we determine it is a bad batch? Or do we toss it immediately and start over? How long after the acceptance of right wing ideals, did the Germans begin to believe those ideals were unworthy? What IF some would have stood and questioned? Think of the lives saved!!! When did it morph into something totally unrecognizable and evil. The German people waited years before questioning anything, even though they may have had some bad feelings early on, but then it was too late. Their fate was sealed and they were enslaved. Had they spoken up before it all soured, they could have tossed out the batch of politicians just as a batch of cucumbers and started all over. Does this not teach us anything? Why are conservatives continuously attacked because we speak out and question? We can all start out with the best of intentions and hope, but when we see a train wreck coming, it is much smarter to stand up and yell DANGER, than to allow ourselves to be annihilated. The slime and bubbles I see in the WH is evident since Obama; made apologies for America, gave terrorists the same rights as law abiding Americans, created an overseas contingency rather than a war on terror, gave an erroneous "shout out" before addressing the nation after the latest terror attack on 5 November in Ft. Hood, is allowing battle weary soldiers to languish while he consults left wing supporters over a cowardly exit strategy, taking over our health care, car industry, banks, double digit unemployment.... How much more do we need before we have a national consensus that the WH is causing some serious problems? Do we do like the Germans and wait to be enslaved to the system? It has been 10 months and Obama's essence has emerged. America is in deep trouble and we must continue to yell DANGER! And yes.....continue to search for the truth, that excludes Media Matters!

At what point does the cucumber become the pickle? At what point do we call something life? Is it music or is it noise? Is it live or is it memorex?

These are good questions, I might add some thought here...

The reason Germany committed it's monstorous acts is because people got afraid to healthy debate as Loyal American points out. In my mind of a perfect world, debate should be carried out with more thoughts than talking. More like an afternoon in the library, rather than a high school pep rally. This is the route to a true well thought and well fought debate. Not hopping on a band wagon to bash someone with a mob mentality.

I'm glad there are left and right news casters. I like to see the different viewpoints so I might see more fully the true picture. A 360° angle you might say. If I were always on the south end of a north bound mule, I would only see a donkey's a$$. I'd like to think others could shed more light on a subject than my own limited view point.

LoyalAmerican, your last post was brilliant as usual and to me it was all about keeping our freedoms. I guess what kills me is the freedoms that we conservatives are fighting for benefits all Americans no matter what you political leanings and liberal politics will destroy freedoms if they go unchecked and unchallenged. I'm very concerned about the Obama administration bring terrorist to New York or any other place in America to be tried. Obama has said with his own mouth that we tortured some of the terrorist. This will be a circus for the rest of the world to laugh at. Obama is an America hating fool and I believe he intends for the terrorist to walk free. He' so stupid that he thinks he will make America look more tolerant to the rest of the world, but all they will see is great weakness! He is such a disgrace to all freedom loving Americans and if he does bring the terrorist here, I hope that no one forgets and votes to defeat every liberal at the voting booth that dares run for any office like they've never dreamed of being defeated.

What's up with LoyalAmerican and her fascination with cucumbers and vinegar? Does this have anything to do with the fact that the State of Alabama outlawed vibrators and other sex toys?

Patrick, the people on here who are arguing with you have no ability of self-recognition. They can't see beyond their narrow, bigoted visions.

There is an excellent web article by Sara Robinson in truthout.com on the nature of fascism, its definition, and how communities throughout the world turn fascist. http://www.truthout.org/080909A

Here is an excerpt from that article:

"As Rick Perlstein documented in his two books on Barry Goldwater and Richard Nixon, modern American conservatism was built on these same themes. From "Morning in America" to the Rapture-ready religious right to the white nationalism promoted by the GOP through various gradients of racist groups, it's easy to trace how American proto-fascism offered redemption from the upheavals of the 1960s by promising to restore the innocence of a traditional, white, Christian, male-dominated America. This vision has been so thoroughly embraced that the entire Republican party now openly defines itself along these lines. At this late stage, it's blatantly racist, sexist, repressed, exclusionary, and permanently addicted to the politics of fear and rage. Worse: it doesn't have a moment's shame about any of it. No apologies, to anyone. These same narrative threads have woven their way through every fascist movement in history."

LoyalAmerican, rgodwin, MoreCowBell, mickey, etc. can't hear the fear and rage in their comments and opinions, probably for the same reason that vampires can't stand outside their bodies and see themselves for what they are.

Loyalamerican - I am out of town and it is late so I will try to answer how I see conservatism. I consider myself a conservative. The conservative anti-Obama comments written after many articles in the Star News, I consider radical and many times informed only by limited sources.

I will compare the current conservatism in the USA to Germany in the future.

WATideFan: Both Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow mentioned on their shows what tea bagging was and how culturally clueless the ignoramuses who call themselves Tea Baggers must be to refer to themselves with this term (originally, they were to throw tea bags into the river like the original Boston Tea Party). I've also seen the John Waters movie that first brought this practice to national, mainstream attention. (Know how you extremists hate this word "mainstream" because it means something in the middle of the stream). Since this practice of "tea bagging" started in the DC/Baltimore area, maybe you could explain how it originated and whether it is a part of your "routine."

As for Alabama banning sex toys, this has been all over the news. There is a great political cartoon by J. D. Crowe of the Mobile Press-Register depicting AG Troy King and the political fetish he seems to have with sex toys. http://gordonunleashed.com/blog/2007/11/.... The Alabama Supreme Court in an 8-1 vote just upheld the Constitutionality of the law. The Supreme Court will no doubt decide the question in the near future as to whether a state can legitimately regulate a practice it considers immoral as there is a division among the lower court circuits on the question.

All this blog needs is Loretta Nall. I guess since she has her on blog, she doesn't need the Star-News. http://nallforgovernor.blogspot.com/2007...

Estragon and Patrick,

The only time you think an article is good is when it is written by some left wing radical. Jon Stewart is an big mouthed idiot who promotes the left wing agenda of George Soros and GE. I believe in equal justice in respect to race, creed and color as stated in the US Constitution (which as written does not include sexual orientation), christian values, right to life, free enterprise not socialism and the 10th Amendment to the US Constitution. In what do you believe?

WAtidefan: There you have it! If Olberman and Maddow say it, then it must be the absolute, undisputed truth! As of yet, no explanation on the vast knowledge of the Center either! Isn't it incredible how the left wing, in the middle of the stream, radical extremist can bloviate, relentlessly, about their knowledge of movie's, possible laws regarding sex toys, tea bags, parody programs, the bigoted visions of OTHERS, etc., but you do not EVER hear them address the horror of a murdering terrorist on US soil, the sadness of 13 soldiers families, or hear them give thanks for ANYTHING! Says a lot doesn't it?

MoreCowBell: "sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity"......... Profound! I like the way you put that! It fits the left wing radicals perfectly!

Patrick: No need to give me a comparison on conservatism in America versus Germany. I am up to speed on that subject matter. If you consider yourself a conservative and abhor radicals, then you have already answered my question; unless you have a love-hate relationship with yourself. I suppose my question asking if you consider conservatives as being Nazi-like, remains unanswered.

divarty1: Well stated and great question!

Estragon: I have never heard Tea Party participants/conservatives refer to themselves as tea baggers. The liberals you mention called conservatives by that term then later tried to pull the innocent act. Personally, I'm not bothered when people are not familiar with the vulgar slang you seem to know so much about.
To learn what originated in the DC/Baltimore area, you'd need to ask someone who lives/visits that area, not me.

Estragon may be a "real" tea bagger. Never can tell these days.

Liberals call conservatives extreme right wing radicals, but they can never back it up with examples of harm caused by true conservatives. Liberals on the other hand are much different. Many are just stupid and uninformed, but the extreme left has a history of violence. Black Muslims, Symbionese Liberation Army, The Black Panthers and the Weathermen are just some of the evil groups who are also part of the liberal left. We all remember how the Black Panthers intimidated voters in the last Presidential election to try to keep conservatives from voting and how Obama's deputy attorney general Eric Holder decided not to prosecute those responsible. Eric Holder doesn't do anything without the ok from his Master. Obama is nothing more than a cult leader, but thankfully he is losing much of his luster and many of the gullible are waking up from their stupor.

Since you right wing, Christian fundies are fact-free and don't believe in "evidence," this probably won't matter, but here goes.

The protest known as "Tea Bagging" was started, or at least became popularized, by Glenn Beck who urged his viewers to mail tea bags on April 15th to their Senators and Congressmen and women. This gesture was meant to symbolize the sentiment that Americans were over-taxed. There was even a domain name registered: http://teabagparty.org/. It was not until Andy Cobb satirized these poor clueless numb nuts that they realized what tea bagging meant. http://digg.com/politics/Teabag_Parties_....

You people deny everything. Even that the earth revolves around the sun. If the Bible says that the sun revolves around the earth, you believe it despite all evidence to the contrary. That is why the Tea Party on the square in Andalusia was a handful of pathetic losers and odd-balls rather than people with responsible jobs, professions or businesses.

Estragon: You can count on me as far as believing what the Bible says. Whatever the Bible says, it is true no matter whether me, you or anyone else believes it. I guess you also dismiss the 1.5 to 2 million conservatives who showed up on 9/12 in Washington DC as a handful of pathetic losers and odd-balls rather than people with responsible jobs, professions or businesses also. I may be wrong, but I believe you will think different when the 2010 election results are in.

Estrogen: why do you think that people who disagree with you are pathetic losers and odd balls? Any real evidence that your statement is right or just your opinion?

I never had a clue what tea bagging was until Anderson Cooper (possibly a true tea bagger) made a comment one night and everyone seemed to think it was funny. I goggled it and the rest is history.

This says a lot for all of us poor clueless numb nuts. We obviously don't keep our minds in the gutter focused on liberal progressive lifestyles. Not true for you Estrogen, you seemed to be very fixated on the subject.

Sincerely
"Clueless Numb Nut"

Estragon: Who truly cares about the definition or origins of your latest doggie bone subject of "Tea Bagging"? You keep gnawing on it when no flavor exists and it is pathetic! You are relentless in your attempt to make a point about something so unimportant. You are a card carrying left wing radical extremist filled with hate and contempt. I once thought you had a measure of intelligence. However, I have adjusted my thinking. You have no original thoughts because you get your info from other left wing radicals on TV and through print. Never, in this forum, have you spoken from your heart. Rather than embrace the fact we have the freedom to gather on the square, you behave as a typical left wing extremist and ridicule exercises in freedom! You only critcize and belittle others, unless they are a fellow left wing radical extremist! No matter how disjointed and nonsensical a fellow left wing poster may write, you always, start, without fail, "Great post".. (insert name)! If there is a pathetic loser and oddball amongst us, that would be you!

Our Farmers, Food and Freedom are Under Attack. Every freedom loving American needs to take a look and read the info at this link. The rest of you can keep your blinders on while Obama and the liberal left wing congress continues to send the world to hell on a bobsled.

Our diligent revolutionary and resident paranoid psycho, rgodwin, has now discovered another evil plot - Obama is after our farmers and the food they grow!!!! rgodwin, why don't you, LoyalAmerican, MoreCowBell, and WATideFan start a new organization to save our food before the liberals destroy all our lettuce: Tea Baggers who support Salad Tossing.

Fox news is the most fake news on tv.Their facts are fiction beyond belief. All they do is downgrade our President and the dems to the point of sounding mentally unstable. We all know carl rove the liar is a big time backer and star of fox noise.I never watch fox because i just hate idiots that jump around and scream and shout like they know what they are talking about when its clear they dont know jack.

It's tea partier...not tea bagger you silly lib. Tea bagging is something that you will most likely find a lib indulging in.

Lilabell, if you feel that way, then you should continue to not watch FNC. However, I would like to know what you mean by fake news and fiction facts? Got any examples? Also please comment on your opinion of CNN, MSNBC, etc. Surely you don't think they get it all right either do you? You have one lone cable network that leans right in a sea of networks that lean left....what's your gripe? I'm thankful that at least one network has the nads to expose this pathetic administration for what it is....a fraud. By the way, I didn't care much for GWB either.

MoreCowBell: Lilabell doesn't watch Fox News or he/she could not possibly be so stupid. Fox is the most watched news network and this person is like all the others. They spit venom and tell about all the lies without examples. Hannity did show something that turned out to be wrong, but he did apologize which is something the other networks would never have done. Estrogen, you are such a loser and you sure have some great company in your little band. If it wasn't for the other innocent people that will be hurt by Obama's evil and dishonest agenda, I would enjoy seeing you and your worshipers struggle through the change that you so ignorantly voted for.

Your diligent revolutionary and resident paranoid psycho, rgodwin

Estragon: Why don't you take a trip through Iowa, Indiana, Kansas or Minnesota and see what happens when big Agriculture businesses take over the old family farms. It is sad and shocking. I don't think we have to worry about lettuce. What you do need to worry about is the loss of farm land that grew our grain. You left wing radical extremists don't need to worry about anything. You know eventually your government will just take what you need from us, the ones who earned it! Try looking at the big picture and not be so flippant. By the way, your attempt at 'humor' falls flat!
