Good Morning! I feel anyone 'wanting' to seek an office for the first time should be encouraged and welcomed. Andalusia and Covington County has a wide variety of very good potential cantidates for all of its upcoming elections, and also the school board. Any business, church, or school system does need to change ever so often in the 'best interest of the students', for new ideas and suggestions and policy as times and methods do change.
I'd like to Thank each and every positive 'post' in this arena, it shows that you really care about your community, children, it's parents and grandparents.

Salutes to Mayor Earl Johnson, Sue Wilson, The Arts Council, Ballet, and others for a positive outlook for Andalusia's future for the upcomming year of 2010! I am looking forward to the progress planned on Riverfalls Street and the community's enrichment of the cultural arts and vision for the comming generation.

I congratulate the new restaurant in Andalusia, I hope the community will respond favorably so Andalusia can continue to grow and prosper. With good reviews many people from nearby cities will motor to Andalusia to 'dine' in this establishment as it will be a 'one of a kind'. I ask the community leaders to 'support' this endeavor by dinning there publicly and let's give them a big Andalusia Welcome!

A 'special' Thank You to the church for the wonderful meal program offered this Christmas, and a Merry Christmas to the Andalusia Star News for the wonderful reporting of 'good' events of the community this past year.

Very Well Done! !Good Promo for Andalusia. Captain Charles (Chuck) Bailey did more good exposure for Andalusia in 2 min. than the Chamber of Commerce has in 40 years! I really enjoyed with all my heart!

,With friendship and my kindest regards I'd like to take this opportunity to 'Thank' Mayor Johnson for keeping us informed of our state of economy and revenue and sharing 'good news' with us. That was always one of Ronald Reagan's good sides was he always kept us informed and gave us 'positive' comments when the nation was turning from a downtrend, I believe these comments by Reagan on a 'positive' note helped change America's mood and spirit to achieve and gave people that little 'extra' drive it sometimes takes to be succesful.
The only outlet myself and many others have for local news about Andalusia is in the Andalusia Star News and WAAO Radio Station, I remember very well when each day in Andalusia started out with the "Telephone conversation "with Mayor Chalmer's Bryant each morning at 7 am, live on WAAO with Jim Williams and Bill Smith Monday thru Friday for many many years..
So I just wanted to Thank our Mayor for keeping us abreast of 'good news' about Andalusia and it's progress, a job well done!

Just like to take this opportunity to "Congraduate and Commend" Seth Hammentt for being our Represenative for the past generation. I'd also like to 'Thank ' him for his stewardship and all he has done with the job he has done for all of us and never let us down, and for being a 'role model' for the future leaders of Alabama.

Good Morning Andalusia! In reading this news article I recall when young Earl Johnson was in Andalusia High School and a young eager new attorney in the old Historic Prestwood, Prestwood, & Prestwood law firm and building. You can bet he will put forth an 'extra' effort and zeal with this project of Riverfalls Street and the Alatex which touched nearly every life for decades in Andalusia and its "roots". It will be an area that all will be PROUD of when and during it's completion that memorializes not only the workers and employees, but their families and the entire existence of Andalusia itself more than any one thing ever to exist here.
It is my hope and desire that the Mayor and the people or committee thats helps will not forget the 'history' of Riverfalls Street and the area as well as 'tribute' to the Alatex. Just wanted to "Commend" the Progress Mayor!

..With friendship and my kindest regards....in reference to a 'ball park' being spoke of here. Let's just build one, all you need is a few acres of flat land not being farmed anymore, some security light poles, county water assess, parking and a couple of bathrooms to start, add as you go.
You don't really need the county or city for anything, no politics, we have more than enough millionaires in our County to do this small feat for our youth, form a 'committee', find an area convienient, and we'll get the money from private sources, just do it! A place to play ball is not that expensive, "I've played in corn feilds".......That's what a John Deere tractor and a blade and rake are for.....bring your lawn chairs first couple of years......and ice chests.

A Very Inspirational story, I did not know these facts about Andalusia's principal. He is truly a 'success' story here in our hometown.
