One has to wonder how many people have stood before then Judge Phillips as she presided over their case and dispensed injustice.
A judge who didn't intend to steal the money "permanently" (how nuts is that?) and who made the decision to steal it in the first place had no busines judging anyone.
The people have got to call for all her cases to be re-opened and examined.
Probate judges are in the position of rubberstamping unlawful and abusive guardianships. People suffer loss of freedom, estates, and many times even loss of life. How many guardianships did Phillips preside over? Each and every one should be reviewed for impropriety.

Visit NASGA, www.StopGuardianAbuse.org and read victims' stories. Our members have stood helpless before uncaring, incompetent, or corrupt judges as we pleaded for the well-being of our loved ones who were being exploited by their court-appointed "protectors" in unlawful and abusive guardianship proceedings.
We have presented evidence of financial exploitation and churning by greedy guardians and their attorneys, only to be silenced by the loud thud of judges' rubber stamps.
We have been rendered helpless to protect our loved ones as they were forced into nursing homes against their will and isolated from us.
We know too well that accountability is rare in the (in)justice system.
Any judge found to be engaging in criminal acts must be disbarred from the bench, charged with a crime, and held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
The public trust must be restored and the only chance of doing that is accountability.

"Every bit of the money was paid back before she was charged" is typical lawyer talk. She probably knew she was under investigation and so paid the money back quickly so "justice" would be easier on her -- thus paying every bit back before she was charged.
Every case she has ever touched should be reviewed for impropriety. Every one.
Unlawful and abusive guardianships are a growing national epidemic - enabled by uncaring, incompetent or corrupt probate judges.

This is an opportunity for Sherrie Phillips victims to have their cases re-evaluated and also to send a message to the AG that the guardianship system is broken.
Perhaps that will start a state tidal wave of reform.
Unlawful and abusive guardianships are money making ventures for greedy guardians and ravenous attorneys - enabled by uncaring, incompetent, or just plain corrupt judges. It's also a growing national epidemic.
Theft often makes the papers, be it theft from a relative or a con man, or scam. But when the "theft" is court-approved, there's no where to turn for help.
Troy Davis is offering an opportunity to be heard. Please don't miss it!
If we don't stop unlawful and abusive guardianships, then we all risk falling prey.
