What is their role now. I know what it should be, but it hasen't been.
So I guess what this unit system really is, is a king and queen system.
Well, can't be any worse. I only hope that when election time comes around we have some people step up that we can be proud to vote for. I do belive we have people in this county who could do these jobs.

Lauren,
I read your letter more than two hours ago got up left the web page your letter to the editor ate at me until I had to come back and respond. I will be as breif as possible and do not intend to hurt your feelings.
First of all let me tell you I am born and bred of the state of Alabama,(that, to you may be my problem,). I was raised to understand that we all have opinions and we are able to express them by man made laws and God given rights. These rights are what allowed you to write your letter without fear.
With that being said let me begin.
I can't help but wonder if you ever said to one of your friens sending you the e-mails that they offended you ? If not - why not? I foward many of these, ( I really thought the limousine one was great) but to friends I know feel the way I do that this administration will destory this great state and country as I know it.
As for the christians, I belive if you search,or google Christianity you will find Catholics to be part of that family.Muslims, not so much, but as you said thats another story.
You also said"You might argue that our forefathers created our nation to be a nation of God" Not "of" but under, my belief there is under the rule of God, again my opinion. And if you do belive what the Bible teaches no place is the wrong place to to try to reach a soul for Christ. It's part of a christians duty to show his love for Christ and his brother. I do belive homosexuals are doing damage to this country but will not destory it.
As I read you're letter I felt as though you were like most liberals that you shared your opinion but the right needs to keep their mouth shut.
In closing let me urge you to contact the friends and family that have offend you with their calls and e-mails, I'm sure they'll stop.

rosco, you won't be able to be what "you" want to be much longer. If your president gets what he wants you will be what he wants you to be. A slave to his goverment rule. I know you're going to bash me now but thats ok. Just print this out, save it for a couple of years, then read it again, see who's right and who was wrong. The difference beteween you and me, I pray I'm wrong.

I guess I could find many things to make fun of this man about, like his George Jefferson walk, his dumbo ears or even his like of respect for the very brave men and women who died giving him the right to be where he is today. But so much over shadows the funny with the fear this man puts on me. I refuse to call him my president. I have not always agreed with other men who held this office, but I have never felt as though any of them put this country down as Obama has done trying to make Americia out to be the evil country. Never in the history of the world has there ever been any nation to do what Americia has done for other countries, even their enemys.
Making fun of this man is not going to help anything, getting him out of office is the answer, and thats not happening either.
I wish I had the answer but I don't. Lets all pray as we have never prayed before that somehow we will surive these four years and hope a real president will emerge for 2012.

I'm willing to bet Bluebelle51 is really our old friend bookworm. Changing your name dosen't change the person. Your president for example, Barry or Barack.
See,didn't matter still a nut who belives the rest of us were put here to serve him. I 'll pass.
Why ,Belle, don't you explain to us what health care reform is to you. How would you have working class America serve you.
I still cannot for the life of me understand how anyone can think that someone else owes them health care, house payments, car payments, everything else. Get off your lazy a** do for yourself. You migth even be surprised how good it would make you feel to do something for yourself.

I've never lived in Florala or Lockhart but I have many memories there. I did go to school at W.S.H. and Florala High School. About a year behind Mr. Holley.
I agree I would be concered about younger kids with 9-12 graders. We went 1-6 in the big building at W.S.H. and then to the jr.high building on the north-west side of the campus for 7-8. We had one principal,( Murry Johnson) for all 8 grades, maybe there was an asst. but if there was I never knew it. The best I remember there was 5 teachers and a coach, ( Ronnie Driver) at the jr.high. I feel sure there were more students then, than now in that end of the county.
I'm not sure what that building is used for now, but you know old ways are sometimes still good ways. Just a thought for a school and community I still hold dear.
