Given the current weak economic environment, I would think any job creation, especially manufacturing jobs in Alabama would be greeted with glee. Pundits state this is the worst economy for housing since the depression. All carpet manufactures have experienced layoffs and cutbacks. For Shaw to make the decision to make this investment in today’s economic environment speaks well for the company.
