I will stand behind you and Eddie Stacey all the way to the field being created. You know that I have tried everything in my power to help. We just need the stubborn people in the county to see our point. I also want to point out when I played softball in high, we didnot have a softball field so we had to rent a field from the city. We had to pay for the field and the people who ran the facility. And we practice on the practice football in the spring with throw down bases. It was until my Senior year in high school that we had the money to have our own field to play and practice. So I know how it fell not to have something for your own.
Just remember County Commissioner: YOU DID PROMISE CHANGE and THAT IS WHY YOU ARE SITTING WHERE YOU ARE TODAY!!!!!!

A comment to GetAGrip: The reason that the city will not play the county is because several years ago the county teams were good. And we would win the leagues and they decide a cuple of years ago that the county teams could not play in the City Leagues any more. So the County Team formed their own leagues. Now the city does not have enough to play so they are asking the county teams to help. And the county team are going to play them so the CHILDREN are not mixed up in all this politics that goes on in the County Commissioner and the City Officials.
I know this day would come! The County Commissioner are wanting to sale the ball field property that not just they bought by had help from other people to purchase the land. The people that promised the ball field would happen have now wants to sale it. The vote was 4 to 1 with Mr. Turman voting against saling the property. If they sale the property for what it is worth at $255,000 the county would profit about $160,000 after they give the money back to people that help purchase the land to begin with. But I know that the community did not know that. If you are that bad off in debt, make the county workers leave their vehicle park at their work places no matter what job they do.
BUT JUST REMEMBER WITH OUT THE EXTRA ACTIVITES IN THE COMMUNITIES THEN THE YOUTH AND TEENS WILL BE INTO DRUGS AND TEARING UP THE COUNTY WORSE THAN IT ALREADY IS!!!!!!!!!

Just remember that Dwight Mikel does not get all the credit. There are people like Alan Brackwell and his staff that are involved as well as the PEOPLE that work for the CIty of Andalusia. There again the CIty of Andalusia has to turn to the county for HELP!!!!!

Just a Little FYI:
The County COmmissioner should have though about the building of the Arena project a little more. Why are you going to build an arena without AC so that you can't hold concerts in it? So the county can bring in more money but using for concerts and other indoor trade shows. Why are the county paying the person in charge of the arena a $100,000 a year to run the arena when it is not even used FULL-TIME????? Why are you paying county workers new vehicle every year? Why can't we build the fields for the kids in the county? The way I look at it is, we build the fields for the kids, we bring in the Regional, State, and even WOrld Series tournments each year and we can make the money back. Because people will come to Andalusia, stay in Andalusia, eat in Andalusia, and even shop in Andalusia while they are here. So there we go: SALES TAXES FOR ANDALUSIA, and COUNTY TAXES FOR THE COUNTY!!!!

Okay, Here we go again.
All this is going back to about 10 years ago when the CITY did not want the COUNTY schools to play in their league anymore. Now the CITY is hurting for games and has had to turn to the COUNTY LEAGUES to play them so they could even make the Regional and District ALL-STAR Tournaments. So before you get on here and start in on the COunty Rec. board you need to get all fact straight that goes back more than 10 years ago. This is not an issue that started just now.
