I agree with most of yall. She did the crime, so do the time, and I agree that she should be held accountable, and to a higher standard than the average Joe Citizen! She's probably got her laptop in jail, and probably is one of the posters. I don't put anything past her. She can smooth talk her way into just about anything! And as far as her weight,....I'm sure she will shed a pound or two, so long as she doesn't steal another inmates groceries, or get her family to bring her Little Debbies! I'm glad she's finally in jail, although she should be there a lot longer, maybe this will send a message to all the other crooked officials, and attorneys as well.....oh yeah, they are crooked too!
Ewe, I hate bugs and stuff....I bet she don't get much sleep with them crawling on her...she's probably standing guard at night with her shoe killlin them! lol...and sleeping during the day! Oh well.....maybe someone should send her a can of Raid! and some mousey traps!
Enjoy your stay Sherrie, I bet Thanksgiving will be wonderful, and Christmas too! How much money you got stashed away, no one knows, but everyone knows you did, you didn't just started your thieving ways with this case, it's been going on long before that, and though you didn't personally attack me, I'm sure the family members that you did steal from would love to have their monies back.

Put him in general population. That would surely save a lot of our taxpayers money! The fact that he's unremorseful, in my opinion, proves his guilt! And he's been in this area since 2005! My goodness, there are no telling HOW MANY victims have fallen prey to this hideous creature. He's not a man, he's a monster! I sympathize with his wife, but I'm not entirely convinced that she couldn't have known something out of the ordinary, she's been married to him for 32 years. I'm sure she could tell a difference when he had these encounter versus when he didn't.
This is just horrible for these young boys as well as their families, and I hope and pray that every last one will come forward, as embarrassing as it may be for them, they have to start the healing process somewhere, and that's a burden they can't carry on their shoulders forever.
I think he should be put in general population, why should he be treated any differently that any other inmate, is essence he is a murderer, a thief and a coward. He killed these young boys souls, he stole their futures and he hides behind his wife!

2.5 Million dollar bond....there should be NO BOND period! I hope they find all the children this trash has offended and get them the help the desparately need and they need to just send him on up to the big house, no bond, no trial, no appeals,....obviously he's guilty, they've got the tapes.....

Thank you Shamrock.....I have spoken with her about that very issue and she is trying, but it's just so very hard for her to trust anyone.....but thank you for takin the time to listen and respond so thoughtfully.

The perpetrator, of course denied the charges, but was arrested, and I believe bonded out the same day. He maintains his innocence to this day, but she also maintains her grounds as well. He never spent any time in jail. He pleaded guilty and took a deal whereby he had 5 years probation and of course has to register as a sexual predator whereever he lives. I'm telling this story because this child is now a mother of one and is 22 years old. She still and always will have horrible memories of what hapened to her so long ago. She was placed in my home immediately after finding out what happened, and she was also placed in therapy, and not to throw off on the therapists in Covington County, but I don't believe they helped her at all. Since she has become an adult, she has become a different person, in that she doesn't have any backbone to stand up for herself and her child. She takes extremely good care of her baby, and will not leave him with anyone for fear of the same thing happening to him. She's angry most of the time, but she's scared all the time. She's been struggling with her past for so long, and she's not getting any better. I believe that in cases of thisnature, intense therapy should be given to the victim so that they can possibly overcome their fears at least to the point that they can function on a daily basis as a normal person. This preacher man, as he calls himself, is a total disgrace to mankind, to the ministry, to the churches, and to his family. How can anyone do such a thing. I just cannot fathom how a grown man or woman, can get pleasure from touching, fondling, molesting a child! Mental, I think not! That's just loophole that they all know they can jump into! I'm not the law, nor do I pass laws, but I can't think of a punishment great enough for these type people. Lock him up, like yall said, that's a gravy train for him. Hang him...that's illegal....oops, so is child molestation! It's just a hard call. What do you do with people like this. Build an entirely new jail, to just house molesters....then maybe they could all kill each other....I don't know. I'm hoping and praying for the families of these children, as they have a long, long road ahead of them. And it won't stop when the trial ends, it goes on and on. As I said, the nightmares and memories my niece had and continues to have has impacted her life dramatically in that she is just having such a hard time coping with life in general on a daily basis, and she's just so scared of men! God bless the victims and their families. I do pray that justice will be served for all of you, and that this man never ever sees daylight again, but as we all know, what are the chances of that happening. I'm sorry, but I have no faith in the justice system to put these people away where they truly belong.....before long, he will be walking the streets of Andalusia again.....and waht can we do about it.....NOTHING! I despise child molesters so much, and it's such a sad shame that a grown man would choose, yes choose, to seek his pleasures on an innocent young person, it's just preposterous! I was a victim of child molestation in that a family member of mine, a very close family member, was molested from the time she was 5 years old til the age of 8, when she finally "told", The person she told believed her and steps were taken immediately to take her to DHR and have her repeat her story, in that the story she was telling about the abuse, was just too believable to not be true, there was no way a child of that age could know or should know the things that she did.

Yes, absolutely! That was a ludicrous prank he pulled, and took rescuers away from jobs they should have been doing, to chase a freakin balloon across the country, people glued to their TV's crying, praying this little boy wasn't in that balloon! How in the world could he pull such a thing and sleep at night, and to use his own child! My God! yes, he definitely should be punished, though I don't know what a good stern punishment would be for this case! I'm just still shocked by the totality of this!

Here we go....this conversation is bout phillips, but now it's turning to obama.
I for one, hope she serves every day of the three years, and I feel she should serve more. But she won't, so that's that.! AT least we have the satisfaction of knowing she's not running around town for a little while now. I too, wonder just how much money she has "squirreled" away, because we all know this wasn't her first rodeo!
When they told me to write the checks payable to Sherrie, i didn't, I wrote them to the Judge of Probate of Covington County, though I'm sure she comingled those funds with her private ones as well. I wonder how she covered it up for so many years, and why hasn't the DA's office or someone else investigating her found all these things. Did they just stop looking when she was convicted?Makes one wonder.
I sincerely hope she doesn't have cushy office job in teh prison...that's just soooo wrong on sooo many levels! She's a prisoner, an inmate, treat her like one, she's not royalty!
