Not exactly worthless...if anyone knows the person they may be able to identify the truck from the description, they may have noticed someone acting suspicious- perhaps they suddenly came by a large amount of cash or jewelry which is unusual for that individual...there are many things other than a photo that can help capture the suspect, but a photo would certainly help, I'm sure! Whoever this lowlife is, lets hope they're captured immediately!

Stewy,

You make a very good point. I have been at LBW for 3 years, due to many factors, including lack of classes offered. I, like many other students, have to work and pay bills.

This is an issue that has come up in discussion on campus, such as our last inter-club council meeting between the students and administration. Of course the college would love to offer more classes each semester, but there are many restrictions. First of all, there are a limited number of instructors. We brainstormed a bit about the issue during out last council meeting and found that our options are very few. However, if you (or any other reader) know of any qualified person who would be interested in participating on campus (such as retired teachers and so on) have them contact the school. I can't remember if a master's or bachelor's degree is required, but it never hurts to check. We also have to take into account that the cost of utilities to keep the school open and operating during the day and other variables increase as the number of classes increase, and as you know, many schools are struggling with budgets already.

As far as scholarships for "non-traditional" students, have you tried websites such as fastweb.com or finaid.com? You answer questions about things such as family history (are you the child of a veteran?) and grade point average, and the site picks scholarships that may apply to you. Taking the time to register and search the offers may help immensely, even if they only cover the cost of books.

Your complaints do not fall on deaf ears, my friend. We just have to realize that these things work at all levels, local, state and federal, so try not to lay blame where it shouldn't necessarily be. And of course, if you have concerns or complains, take them to an instructor or student leader. No one can fix a problem if it isn't first identified!

Times like these it'd be nice to have a Taxi service around here! But come on, folks... a little advanced planning could save a life, and as James Dean once said "It could be MY life you save out there!" So have a DD!

So proud of all of our wonderful athletes in the area! Hopefully we'll have many more to follow in Nico's footsteps. He's not only a great football player, but a good guy as well!

It was such a wonderful event! A big thanks to our LBWCC Civitan group who worked for days to prepare and helped hand out gifts, as well as everyone else involved!

I am by no means familiar with any of the investment or ownership aspects of this story ...that's all way over my head! But I ADORE those two buildings (Andala and Timmerman.) I work between the two, and often have to make the trek up 7 flights of stairs to the roof of the latter to do help with equipment kept there. I can tell you right now that place is BEAUTIFUL, historic, and deserves more than to sit there and rot!

Hey Y'all! I got Bubba's autograph today on my copy of today's paper, and even got a lesson in his "5 dialects of Southern English!" (I just wonder how many of those he made up, LOL.)

I love Bubba and all that he and the other law enforcement officials do for Andalusia!

Kind of off-topic, but Dr. Riedel has been great at LBW. There were a lot of concerns from students that were brushed aside by past administrators that he took care of right off the bat! Thank you Dr. Riedel! LBW loves you!

I hope they will perform here! My dad has taken me to their shows in Pensacola and Gulf Shores my whole life, and I absolutely love them! Thank you for attempting to bring some new and exciting events to Andalusia!
