Yeh really. If people don't want to spend their money at a casino, then DON'T... But the ones that want to, it should be their choice. Same as a lottery. I know so many ppl that travel across the line each week to get tickets, hoping to get "lucky" one day. Alabama should have it, keep the money in state, but nooo, some of the same ppl that voted against it, is still buying tickets in Florida. That drives me nuts!

Hey walnut willy, I agree with you bud. Heck, you can ask a cop about the speed limit, and most of them will tell you, that they'lll give you 5 miles over the limit, and some may be a little more lenient than that. But yeh, when one is speeding, no matter how much, they can write tickets. But what really burns me up is when you see them (cops) breaking the law, as in speeding (when they're not in pursuit) or making a u-turn (which I've seen several times) or flipping on their blue lights just to go under a red light, then turn them back off. That absolutely kills me. So with all the things that they get away with, then yes, everyone should be given at least 5 miles over the speed limit w/o even being stopped. Then if over that, just give a warning.

Sean dude, you do have a point, and I agree with it. But dang man, let it go, there's nothing you say that's gonna change what has happened (about the money). You have made your point, clear as a bell if you ask me. But the more you rave about it, kinda deteriates your opening arguement. Trust me, the point is well taken. What has happened, has happened, let's move on, keep all the families in our prayers and pray that we personally never have to deal with anything remotely to this.

I just keep shakin' my head at all the meth lab busts. Folks, I'm tellin' ya, if you've got a lab going on, you will eventually get busted, plain and simple. So try to think if that is worth losing your kids over. Not to mention all of your other property, fines, jail time, etc.

Kudos to all the surrounding basketball teams and wishing them all good luck heading in to the area tournaments. But I have to wonder why the "local" paper, Star News, leaves out the "local" teams, as in AHS. I'm not knocking other teams being in here at all, but seems to me, there could/should be a section that list all recent scores of the surrounding schools. I may have missed something, but I believe AHS traveled to Thomasville this past Friday night, and I have yet to see one thing printed about that game.

I can appreciate the local paper keeping up with the surrounding cities/counties, but what about their own. I had to read about the AHS bulldogs in another paper, (Press Register)yesterday morning.

Let me say that I am all for helping out the needy, heck, sometimes I feel like I'm in that category myself sometime. But getting to my point, I'm all for it. But what I am against is, all the ones that stand in line for a handout, knowing good and well, that they shouldn't be there. Cause they are taking away from ones that should be there. Reminds me of when Bro. Dohoney has free food supply give-aways, in the old Coke building, (can't remember the name of this, so forgive me), I have drove by on occasion while out yard-saleing, and seen all the folks walking up to get their supplies, and see some already headed back to their vehicles with their arms loaded. I'm thinking hmmmm, this person, that person, etc,,,knows they have no business there. People need to realize the meaning of this, and it's for the "NEEDY" so before you go breaking your neck to get in line for a handout, just pause for a minute to stop and think. Am I really qualified as a needy person, or is it that I'm just too lazy to get out and earn a living, and would rather sit around and wait for handouts, while at the same time, take away from the ones that really do need it. I guess there's really no way to actually say "no" to anyone on this, but if you have any decentcy in yourself, you know who you are, so please, don't take away from the ones that this is set up for.
