My children have graduated, but the kids now need all the education they can get. When we are old and gray, these kids will be running our gov't. They need all the learning they can get. I know alot of ppl are on tough times and its tough on my family. If we don't invest in our local kids, who will be running this county in 10 or 20 years? If not our children, no telling what out of county educated big wheel may be elected with even worse ideas. Its not like we spend $500 at Wal-Mart every week. A penny on every dollar will not be bad for the future we are hoping for. I do agree, lets get control on the education spending. Someone should be appointed to over see the spending of these monies. Thanks and God Bless Covington County

To the girls, I thought so much of your Mom and Dad during our time at West Highland. You have some precious memories to hold on to. We will be praying for you during this time. May God's hand of comfort be upon you all.

$20 a year to have my pistols in my vehicle? You bet I'll pay it. I've been in situations where it was worth $1 million to have a pistol. Is your family not worth $20? Add it up, that's less than 40 cents a week. Thanks...

No, I'm serious. If I ever drank and my dad found out, he would have probably kicked me out of the house. He didn't play, he would wear your "end" out. Mainly, I respected him as a father. That's the problem today, too many kids do not respect their parents as they should. Peer pressure is even tougher than it was in the 80's. Pray for our teens... Thanks...

What if you gain the whole world and yet lose your soul? Accomplishments here are nice, but what have any of us done to prepare for Eternity? Read John 3: 1-7. Thanks

He's totally guilty, why waste more of our money? How many more years are we going have to feed and clothe this person? Let me see, he was in the Cov. Co jail for what? Oh, he did a crime. Then he escaped, as far as I'm concerned, that was his 2nd chance. He forfieted his appeals the day he and doster thought they had reason to escape. The murder victims had no appeal. Let the victims' families pronounce the final, no appeal, verdict.
Pray for our local, state, and national gov't. We need God back in all three. Thanks

I guess everyone who voted for obama, here's your "change". ALChris, I don't know you, but you are correct on everything you said. Everyone should call your Reps and Senators' offices and tell them not to vote for this. Now how high do you want your energy (light) bill to be? If this passes it will be as high as the obama admin. wants it to be. "Bail Out"? Where is all this money coming from to pay this back? I know, let's Do a "Carbon Tax". This is one way the obama admin. is going to get some (alot) of the money back. You can not give $BILLIONS$ away and recoup it by printing new money. That will simply make the dollar be worth nothing. They are not going to raise taxes as we see in our pay checks. They'll just sneak it in as a carbon tax. This is charged to the companys that produce the electricity that we use everyday, With the tax, it will cost more to generate, therefore it ( the tax) is passed on to the municipalities and Coops, causing rates to go up. So some sitting in D.C. says let's do this tax to the G&T's and only the people associated with power production and distribution will ever know. China has stated they have no intention of doing anything on their power plants, to control emmissions. We need to watch FOX NEWS and get the truth. Some Cable networks do not tell all about "Cap and Trade". Look it up on the internet and read about it. People we have not yet to see high-priced energy. Let this bill pass, then God have mercy on us.
Happy Easter to all. Remember Christ rose from the grave. Go to Church and celebrate His rising.

My wife is an RN. I know the sacrafice we both made to get her through school. Now, as a supervisor, our phone rings at all hours of the night. She will get up and go to work at any hour. My job is the same way. We knew the hours would be crazy when she decided to do nursing. My hat is off to every nurse who reads this. Thank You from the bottom of my heart. May God always have His hand upon you.

Mrs. Mary, Jeff, and Mellisa, Sorry for the loss of "Jr". I remember how good Mary and Jr were to us growing up. When Daddy was at work, ya'll always kept us in line. One thing that has always stuck in my memories were the times when Jr would be coming in from a long road trip, Mary would get on the CB station. I can still hear her, ' How 'bout it Muleskinner?, this is the Lady Muleskinner, come on," According how far out he was he would "come back" to her, on his CB. All memories of Jr are all good. God be with each of you during this time. We will all be here for ya'll. I know I speak for all the Jeffcoat "kids". God Bless ! Melvin
