I understand what you are saying. I have always believed in the "GOLDEN RULE", but after working for a living I do believe it truly has two meanings.
1. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
2. Those with the Gold, make the rules.

I'm just a poor hard working man who works over 70 hours a week to put food on the table, a roof over my head and clothes on my back. I think when a man can do that, there isn't much more you can ask for. It gripes my butt to pay $96 a week for health care insurance. At the same time, I'm thankful to have a job and the ability to work. I'm just a poor man, born a poor man, will die a poor man. My Daddy told me when I was just a small child that there are two ways for MOST folks to become rich. They can inherit it, or steal it. Plain and simple, I never forgot that. As I became older, I see alot of truth in that, old money and new money. There are a few people that are fortunate enough to work hard, invent something and become rich. It is the rich people that employ the poor people. Fact of life. For some strange reason most think let's just tax the rich man, he can afford it. Then they rant and rave when they move to another country , take the money and business that they own with them. And there goes our jobs with them to. Remember this country was founded because of high taxes. Remember the Boston Tea party? You can tax a man to death. And yes, they have a death tax to, nothing in this world is free. When you tax the rich man, you penalize a man for being successful. IF that's the case, then why even bother? The bible teaches to tithe 10%, the 10% applies to the poor man and rich man just the same. The Govt should do that same. Or reach a figure that is acceptable to everyone. The problem today is that everyone wants something for nothing. That's the problem. I don't have a problem with helping a man or woman when they need a hand. If they need public assistance. That is fine to. But instead of sitting on their rear ends and becoming lazier and lazier (as not all but most do) , make these people do community service, put in a few hours of work for the benefits and assistance they recieve. If you want a job, it's the same as eating, you have to open your mouth. You can't feed a closed mouth, you can't get a job with a closed mouth either. I for one would love to be rich, unless I were to buy a lotto ticket from another state and become very very lucky, that's not going to happen. I'm not fortunate enough to have rich relatives, not smart enough to invent something to make me rich. But smart enough to leave the rich man alone that pays my salary. Never been one to bite the hand that feeds me. Why should the rich man pay 4 times as much in taxes as the poor man? I don't see it, once again, punishing a man for being successful. I think we all need to back up, take a long look at things and put our noses back on the grindstone and come up with a better plan. Where there is a will, there's a way. God Bless America, and thank you God for my Job, my good health, the ability to work, and for not being lazy and scared to get a job and do it.

The world lost a good man when Gene Baisden passed. Sometimes in life we wonder about people who call themselves Christians. With Gene there was never a doubt he was a true believer and a follower of Christ. He was always the same man anytime you saw him. A wonderful husband, father, and friend. You will be missed my friend. God Bless. My condolences to the family, Reba, Bridget, Sheila, Teresa. May God comfort you in your time of sorrow. Know that you will see him again one day.

So let's get this straight, I rob a bank Monday, get caught, give the money back, no harm, no foul and I just walk away? Give me a break. A Forrest Gump quote comes to mind "Stupid is, as Stupid does".

I hope the commissioner deals with this accordingly. It's a shame athelete's today feel the need to "cheat". I hope all the ones that are found to be guilty after due process, have their records stricken from the record books. People pay good money to see A-Rod play. I don't think as many would have paid such money to see him play if they had known prior to the fact that he was not "all natural", but juiced up on steriods. Shame on A-Rod and all of the others that are guilty to. The problem is that regardless of his interview, etc., you can justify anything in this world if you desire to do so. He knew what he was doing. I hope he pays the price. He may have some Hall of Fame numbers, but I think in light of the situation, he'll fall short of Cooperstown. The price he'll pay one day for deciding to juice up and inflate his numbers and salary. In the end, it'll cost him the most coveted title any ball player can achieve, being inducted into the Hall of Fame. But there is hope for him yet, he's a shoe in for the Hall of Shame.

I've watched the Bulldogs take the field and play this year. I try to follow the Bulldogs as much as possible. I find it "comical", that this (and I use the term loosely) "Coach" brings as he says "Experience" to Andalusia. Only coached one year? From what I've witnessed on the field. I'd hate to see what he accomplished or left unaccomplished last year in Escambia County. When a Coach "ridicules" his own players, and ejects one of his own players from his own dugout in front of a crowd for striking out, it's a disgrace. I'm a former player and graduate from Andy High. And the situation that occured did not set well with me nor any fan that follows AHS Athletics. He likes to call out his plays, or signals, from the Coach's box. I hope you read this Coach Rasberry, 3-3-1, that's not a play, but if you will read the rule book, I'm sure you will get the idea that if you had the right official, you'd have been tossed to. You are certainly not a "Felix Boswell."

admin23, I don't like people drawing welfare that don't care to work and are able to. Our own citizens go without as illegal immigrants qualify for alot of government handouts that the rest of us are not entitled to. Just make sure you keep paying your taxes as we have 12-15 million illegal immigrants that need benefits. When you get to retirement age after working 50 years as being a taxpayer, take pride in knowing you can draw up to $1012 a month while an illegal immagrant draws $2750 a month and never paid a dime in taxes. How's that for your tax paying dollar?

Hate to say I told you so. But I had quoted earlier I thought the whole idea was a "crash and burn". I'm afraid the whole proposition is going to get even more expensive for Covington County. At least he wasn't hurt. The plane and runway lights can be replaced. Human life can't be. I'm sure his ego is hurt. Maybe he learned something from this unfortunate "incident".

Congratulations Nico.. Has been a pleasure watching you play at Andalusia. And even though you will attend a different SEC school than I chose to go to. I will tune in the television now to watch you at Alabama. I wish you the very best of luck. May you continue to be blessed with good health and stay injury free. I hope you stay the same person you are today. I'm sure all of us here in Andalusia feel the same way about you, thanks for being a Bulldog. Thanks for the memories. I hope you make alot more memories at Bama. God Bless, and Good Luck.

Stanley Schoolhouse should be safe, the Church across the road in my opinion could be in jeopardy if the State chose to 4 lane Hwy 55. If you notice beside the Stanley School House you have a cemetary. I have noticed in many instances the State will normally go around or in the opposite direction to keep from disturbing any graves. Only my opinion, but I tend to think that the Old School house would be saved due to the fact of the cemetary beside it where as the current Judson Baptist Church would probably be in peril.
On State Hwy. 55 may be 4-laned in future
