Yes, swswilliams that is progress, but shouldn't progress be even throu out the town? If you will ride down Alabama Street you can see the difference in the paving of the two with sod, grass, seed, and hay to keep the soil moist, crubs and the pavement is even on one of them, the other looks like it was left over asphalt just thrown on it.Is it because that street is a continuation of main street, yea that's it, that makes all the sense in the world now. Guess I just wasn't thinking.

This is sad to see. Maybe the extra money is needed to pay for the new road Chairman Williford has in front of his house. The road has curbs, and the crew has planted grass and covered it with hay. It is a very nice road but, the road ajoining it is what got the let over asphalt just thrown on it. Also, a road next to it was left without curbs, no planted grass, and uneven. Maybe the plan is to go back and put curbs on the two roads and plant grass.

With Bingo you have a choice to play or not to play. You know the chances you are taking, with the tanning bed video there was no choice. There is no way to compare the two. Those of you that is using this as a comparison is just looking for an excuse. Lets stick with this story, the two have NOTHING to do with each other. Yes the tanning bed video was wrong and I know the law will handle it appropriately. Bingo, another day, WE HAVE A CHOICE, LET US MAKE THAT CHOICE.

How many "NAY-SAYERS" go into a convenient store everyday of their lives to pick up a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread, a newpaper. They have to walk right passed the beer to get to these items. Is the cashier standing there with a gun to their heads telling them they HAVE to buy beer, no they are not! On the interstate in Montgomery and Dothan is there a road block detouring traffic to the casinos, NO there is not. It is still a free county, for now anyway, and we still have a mind of our own. NOBODY is going to MAKE ANYBODY go to the casinos. For those of you that think there will be children going to bed hungry because of gambling, WAKE UP, we have children in FLORALA today that will go to bed hunger because of one reason or another. One reason could be because of no jobs, which means no money. Comments made that children will go to bed hunger because of the parents gambling all thier money needs to take money out of their pockets and help the children TODAY, that are going to bed hunger before the casinos open up. Do you honest think that all is well in Florala now, that everybody has all they need. Please get down off your high horse and see your fair City, State, Country for what it is already! Not for what it COULD be when industry comes to town.

A LAW is a LAW, whether it be Murder, illegal transport of liquor, or bank robbery, and should be treated as such. It is YOUR responsibility, as a licensed driver to know the laws wherever you are driving. It is a very unforunate thing for these young adults, for this record to follow them the rest of their lives. But, this very incident could save one or all of their lives one day. I hope they have learned from this misforunate event, then it would not have been in vain.
Speed trap? If a speed limit sign is posted and you do not slow down, is that the police officers fault? If an officer is parked beside that sign and you speed by, is that his fault for being parked there? With more than ONE sign posted giving the driver ample time to slow his vehicle and he does not, is it the officers fault? Is Florala the ONLY City in the State that writes speeding tickets? If so, then if the towns and Cities on 331 and 55 would write some tickets then Florala Officers might not have to write so many, the drivers would be aware of speed limit signs way before entering the city limits of Florala.
