If they want to cut the fat in the county ask Mr.Turman why he had to have a NEW SUV to ride around on when all the other county rides are old and about wore slam out!! The district 4 commisiner before him rode around in these old trucks and such WHY can't he? As far as the Arena maybe it does need to be looked at with a more open mind and find ways to make more money. But I agree the ball fields are needed for the kids. They are our future and we shouldn't turn our back on them! God help us if we do!

How can they honestly say that she did not deceive anyone. She deceived the people of Covington County and Conecuh County as well. She thought she would use her office and not get caught. She deserves to lose her retirement benefits, she should have to sale everything that was purchased with the money that was not hers, because that my friend is theft by deception, so Judge Charles Price should have recused himself from this hearing because he taught her in law school. The theft was of the 1.8 million dollars, the theft by deception was everything that she purhased with money that she new was not hers. But I am sure that she thinks she has done no wrong because she thought since the man appeared to have no heirs then she would not get caught. The Attorney General needs to review the cases similar to this since she has been in office to see how many other people this woman has stolen money from. But I am sure they will say let bygones be bygones and that she has suffered enough. She will not have suffered enough until she is in a cell in tutwiler where she needs to be, that way the people of covington county will have received justice.

I just want the people of covington county to think about this. You know a thief always gets more brave each time they steal, how many other families that apparantly did not have any heirs did Sherri Phillips steal from them? It sure is something to think about isn't

Alot of things would not have happened in covington county without Seth Hammet but at whose cost did those things happen. Also, he will draw a state pension for being LBW President, he will draw a state pension for being Speaker of the House especially since he was the main one behind their 64% state raise. I guess drawing a third state pension was just too much for the back stabbing crook to handle. Thanks to people like him in Montgomery there will be school closings and programs cut in the college budgets that help the children of lower income parents attend college. There are school systems that do not have enough books for children because of cutbacks. But I guess they deserve their 3 figure incomes so they do not have to really work for a living, just sit back and steal from the working class people of the state of Alabama.
