Shall we also thank those that made the decisions to shut things down when they did. Good job leaders of the community . The few accidents we had could have sadly been as they were in the north area of Alabama. I for one, want to thank those that made the call.
On Woo Hoo!

The opportunity for everyone to be young again. But sadly it won't last. Get those pictures parents for the children playing in it, could be a long again before it happens, as it did. So allow the moment to last with photos.

Mr. Sasser needs to watch who he is hanging out with, Eddie who-ever Knight-Lewis is one snake in the grass. Hopefully he won't last long, again . I'm so glad I can't receive his station.
The sale of beer on Sunday's is the next step we may need to take a look at for money, again something that is happening in larger cities and our good ole boys going down to Florida to get it on Sundays, so they can't be seen purchasing it along with their lottery tickets out of Fla,Ga. and Tenn.
Put everything to the voters and let them decide what they feel is needed.

May god be with him, we here in America are so blessed to have such wonderful young Men and Women who allow us to live in the freedom we enjoy. Christmas and holidays are so tough for the love ones, but as mentioned we must continue to live, for they are allowing us such freedom to live. I as well have spent those days away, due to deployments, But as well I knew why I did it, for the freedom of My loved ones, and the great country where I live. God Bless the USA, to you the family of our Great Military and those serving. Thank you and him for giving to us.

The last resolution that was passed recently also speaks of how they take care of thier employees. They passed that beginning next year those within the county employment must take the COMP time before they take their vacation, which also was changed awhile back by G. White, that they county employees could carry over no more than 300 hrs, or would loose it. But then have to bring in folks to help when one has to take off, snooze or loose it . Again more COMP time , and shortage of staff and as well of liabilty to the department, due to lack of coverage ,jail ,road patrol etc. As stated above alot of good people work for the county and are getting stiffed by the rules established by the Commissioners, again also stated WE elect those in office, from the President on down. But locally it hurts all of us within the county, maybe not as much within the cities of Opp,Andalusia but the county and then as well we must also rememebr that recently as well those cities brought in their Police patrol to within their city limit, but also still comp some of the tax base out of the city limits of business. The Sheriff's hands are tied, the Commission approves the raises and rules that change overall . Times will not change ,unless the Wage and Earning board gets involved again. Wait until next year when the employees have to start taking COMP time, and then loose their vacation due to the changes, or take it, and then again cycle all over again. This does not include the sick time, that most other Goverment agencies pay upon ones departure from that agency. So the problems only get bigger and you the citizens within the county suffer as well.

Many thanks for what you dId and the many untold missions that you and others may have taken to allow for our freedom. As many knows Freedom is not free, and we see and hear this daily. But we all must give thanks those that served and continue to serve. May god bless you and this great nation.
