I will also no longer profit the Pepsi company due to this scrupulous and down right scandalous behavior !!!! Why, I happen to have it on good authority that if you take a Pepsi can, and play it backwards real slow…….. my my how can we allow such a thing?
Give me a break people. You act as if the decision came from the Pepsi CEO himself. Dig a little deeper and I'm sure you'll find some local who just expects his/her employees to get a job done. Whether that decision was misguided or not has no bearing on how I feel towards the Pepsi company. Grow up people.

I'm headed to Biloxi next weekend, and the only thing I'll regret about it is that I have to drive half way across another state to gamble. I'm sure I'll lose more than I'll win but my wife and I will enjoy ourselves as always and we'll return home without a drug addiction or criminal record, and will likely return again in the near future.
Moral of the story... using gambling as the downfall of society is a crock. I will say this, as I have always said, if you become a drug using/lying/criminal/etc etc, the conditions of how you got there are irrelevant. A man/woman will turn to criminal activity for any reason, whether it's gambling money, the next fix, or to pay this months light bill. Stop using excuses; you are bad because you don't want to be better. The gun doesn't pull its own trigger, the vehicle didn't drive drunk, and children don't abuse themselves.
WTF ever happened to ACCOUNTIBILITY? I say put the blame back where it belongs, squarely on the shoulders of the guilty.

bluecollarguy..
you make a valid point about "helping out", only problem is when someone provides this information it is discarded. I know of a manufacturer/dealer who has been in business for years, and believe me there's no doubt whatsoever as to their activity.. they have vehicles in and out 24/7, non of whom stay more than 5-10 minutes... I've counted as many as 50 in one day. they have the "alert dogs" who basically alert them to any visitors, every window in this home is blacked out..even their child has talked of certain things he's seen (who has since been banned from playing with other neighborhood children, by his parents, for this very reason) and I can honestly say that I personally reported this two years ago and was told specifically that "they are under surveillance." After a year of "being under surveillance" I reported it again, and went so far as to offer my home as a surveillance point to install a camera and was told "the camera wasn't working at the time" and "it's hard to install such a device undetected" That was one year ago.
Give me a break, I'm not dumb... if the DTF wanted to catch them they could/would. Want to install a camera on my home? Pull up in a satellite installer van and rig it up. I don't care, I'll install it myself "undetected", just bust these people and get them out of my neighborhood. Exactly how far does a citizen have to go to "help out" the DTF !?!?!?
I don't place the blame solely on the DTF either, child services was also contacted by another member of the community, who made 1 SCHEDULED visit and never returned. Can someone please tell me how to deal with such a situation?

I have to agree about the lack of local hardware store "dedication" to the community. I can't even begin to count how many times I've made an emergency trip to Lowes on a Saturday or Sunday because of a last minute item needed. If you work a nine-to-five, when do the "honey do's" get done? On the weekends. Where do you find the forgotten part or broken fitting? Certainly not locally, at least until Marvins. Marvins gets the majority of my business now, if nothing else just for being there when I need them. The price comparison helps a bit too.

As per my previous post on the subject.. I agree. Public execution, doesn't matter how, just get him there.

I guess I'll put my "2 cents" in, for what it's worth, this is just my opinion, not just on this case but on the world we live in, in general...
I am a father of 4 children, while reading these articles I am constantly reminded of how terribly wrong this country has become since the days when I was their age. I can't trust the world to let my children walk 1/4 mile down the street, when at their age I myself use to walk/ride miles to visit a friend. I used to spend entire days walking down the river banks with fishing gear in hand, but can my children enjoy the same luxury? Not anymore. I blame society in general. Too many bleeding hearts and crooks. What happened to accountability? Where have the values gone, that we were raised to hold? This country needs harsher punishments, not only to punish the guilty, but to deter others from the same fate. If you are found guilty of violent crimes the penalty should be so severe that no man (or woman) would ever consider putting themselves in that situation. You want a better world? Make the changes, enforce the punishments, and watch the crime rates decline. Prison is not the answer for the vast majority of inmates today. Cellblocks full of rapists/murderers/thieves. It pure disgusts me to think that one of my children might meet one of these people once they are released. Search the internet and look at how many sex offenders reside in our county, hell our city limits. How many murderers and thieves roam our streets? I say we need to rid society of these "people" if you want to call them that. An eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. Send them to their maker, let him be their judge. Why can't the streets be safe for my children? What did they do to deserve the danger that lurks around every corner? Should they have to live in fear of "the nice man down the street" or "the lost lady needing directions" or the man who is too sorry to work for a living because it's far easier to rob someone at gunpoint? Seems they're not even safe at church anymore. Am I the only one tired of this? The solution is so simple. It hasn't been all that long ago since the days when justice was swift and severe for crimes of this nature. How has it so quickly become forgotten? One thing I do know is that it's only getting worse. I say stop it now.

Just a thought to eveyone who thinks the 12 year old is to blame...
Why dont you attempt to remove your heads from your rearend? I don't care if she threw herself on him, the point is he is 20, she is 12. She's not even a teenager yet. I have a ten year old who thinks she knows what's best for her, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out she isn't truly equipped to make her own life decisions.
I do agree some better parenting was probably needed, but don't steer blame away from the fact that a 20 year old MAN took advantage of a 12 year old GIRL. She might have been willing, but it is still wrong. My girl thinks she knows how to make it on her own, that doesn't mean I'm gonna pressure her into moving out.
Of course, if he is truly innocent, that is a different matter all together, but i'm tired of hearing that if it happened then it was her fault. That's bull$h!t and anyone who endorses that theory needs to be strung up with the rest of the trash that seems to be surfacing around here.
Oh, and a thought to everyone else.. this is why we need harsher punishments for crimes of this nature, it's becoming all to common and people are actually desensitized to this sort of behavior. There was a day when he wouldn't have made it past the first oak tree. Wake up people !
