Opp Police Department needs to worry about speeders on there streets not on the bypass some streets are like drag strips because the people know that the officers are out riding the bypass so they can drive like they want in town.

Sounds like covington county will be with out a E911 service before long if they are going to pay a director that salary. So if you are not going to pay for training for dispatchers what help with they be to you when needed!! Mr. Godwin don't you think medics and emts need training, why not dispatchers. A real smart move by 2 kings of the 911 board

Correct me if i'am wrong, But doesn't a jake brake help slow down or stop an 18 wheeler????? Sounds like the mayor wants to find more work for his police department since they do not go outside there city limits anymore to answer calls. MAY BE more wrecks with 18 wheelers if this happens. But lets hope not.

The airport didn't have a fire department then. That means that the other fire departments covered anything that happened at the airport are around it. I wonder where airport fire was when the sheriff had his problem at that airport??? Andalusia fire went to it inside airport and there was no mention of airport fire anywhere.

Ineedtobeheard what if you was in a plane landing at that airport at the time airport fire was at babbie or somewhere and your plane crashed and there was nobody there to help you. What then, I look at this way, why leave your area that you a suppose to cover with nobody there to cover it.

Well it's like this, What if there had been a a crash at the airport while thay was at Babbie or wherever. Who would have help with that problem??? If you are 5 miles away you or no help. I'am sure that if the fire department that went to crash would have called them if they needed them

Well andyman just how long has the airport had a fire department??? What did this county do before then??? The fire departments outside of the airport went to any downed aircraft and they took care of it. I feel like when he contacted the airport he talk to the tower out there which is maned by fort rucker personal.
