There is no need for your names....or phone numbers. They only need to count the people living in the area.
I don't care if they know my age, race or sex. They will not get my phone number, if I own my house or pay rent, etc.
They only need to count us....so there. They should never call me. if I knew if ACORN was in anyway doing this, it would never be turned in.

It's time the people of America unite against this issue being forced upon us unwillingly to the point of doing anything in congress or the White House to get it passed. If they do this,,,,,the "White House" will turn black over night. Not because of who's in it, but what they have done to it's people and country. This is not racial, it's all political. If the prgressives can control us by our health care, we will soon be a complete socialistic country with the government telling us to go to hell when we are no use to anyone. That's to all the baby boomers. They don't want us to live long. They don't care about you. It's all about power.

On Do you think the president will convince the U.S. House to pass a health care reform bill this week?

it infuriates me to think of all the money sent there and so many homeless and hurting people in our homeland, especially our children. Then for them to jailed a group of christians trying to help them in there troubles was totally uncalled for. They are still holding 2 people. Americans should pull out physically and let them deal with it. I saw a show that told how lazy the citizens were as to not even get the land ready for all the tents being sent. With that many people and all the monetary help....why can't they help themselves?

Give all the negative comments a rest. This was a great presentation by someone who came from the very bottom to make a success of his life. Therefore, giving all around him, especially his family..a better life from his education. I hope all students can really get this message and stay in school, get a career and have a great life. Life in itself is a daily struggle, but to be able to support yourself and a family is a exceptional success these days. Kudo's to you and all those who influenced you, Dr. Shakespear, to work hard and succeed. I encourage my grandchildren all the time to do better than you think you can.....education is important.

In his statement above, Bright said the large companies need to be in oversight of the government so they want become greedy. I don't think Mr. Kirkland was referring to capitalism, it was greed in government...duh! I think Bright's statement shows that he agrees with Obama,,,,to share the wealth. NO WAY! Government has got to step back and let the people have a say. Not the government telling us what to eat, how much to weigh, what insurance coverage we can have, etc. They're are getting a bit to personal in our lives.

I think this is just another way for the government to get control of our children. Do you realize if the government health care bill had passed, we would have been mandated on what we could eat, weigh, etc. or health benefits would be cut until we fell in line with their guidelines on health. It was more to control every aspect of our lives than our health. Again, in England, where the government gives health care...they have taken away children who were overweight from their parents. Would you want this?
Plus, I remember my children eating well in school. Even peanut butter, and they were never over weight. It's not what you eat as much as not getting outside. I believe that more nutrition is needed than drinking water at break for our children. Too much control over our individual choices of life. No way!

I agree. There is gambling all over this state. It's all politics. I think that the people would vote for this to be legalized this time. There is too much money being spent on trying to stop it, when there is much more crime to stop. If you are NOT going to stop the crime with state agencies. Then give the money to the schools for our children. I don't consider people's right to gamble a crime. ABC should focus on more important things to do and stop wasting tax payers money.
