In today's column, the history and genealogy of the John Richard Cauley, the youngest son of Bartholomew Cauley, will be continued. Last week, the genealogy of five of his children was presented.

John Richard, born in 1827 in Covington County, and his wife, Elizabeth Marie (Dannelley), reared the following children: William Thomas &uot;Tom,&uot; b. 1852, d. 1930, m. Martha Louisa King; Jesse J., b. 1855, d. 1868, single; Jason Barley &uot;Dock,&uot; b. 1858, d. 1920, m. (1) Belle Harrison (2) Elzada Cook King; Ava Anna, b. 1859, d. 1932, m. George Calvin Prescott; Bolton Stark, b. 1862, d. 1962, m. Millie Ann Morris; Dulceney, b. 1864, d. 1941, m. John L. Foley; Vianna, b. 1867, d. 1960, m. Daniel C. Taylor; General V., b. 1869, d. 1938, m. Julia Elizabeth Jones; Tea Anna &uot;Teet,&uot; b. 1871, d. 1943, m. Jesse H. Lindsey; Mallard &uot;Mal&uot; C., b. 1873, d. 1930, m. Mattie Lindsey; and Celia R. Lena &uot;Sweet,&uot; b. 1876, d. 1953, m. Jacob Benton.

The children of William Thomas &uot;Tom,&uot; Jason Barley &uot;Dock,&uot; and Bolton Stark were outlined in last week's column. One oversight was the omission of Tom's four youngest children: Myrtle Lee &uot;Myrtie,&uot; b.1893, d. 1960, m. Hugh J. Clark; Bud Frank, b. 1896, d. 1970, m. Alice Flora Bryan; Autie, b. 1899, d. 1937, m. Dove Green Reeves; and Hobson David, b. 1900, d. 1976, m. Pearl Tanner. Jesse J. had no children. Those of Ava Anna, Dulceney, Vianna, General V., Tea Anna &uot;Teet,&uot; Mallard C. and Celia R. Lena &uot;Sweet&uot; are included in this writing.

Ava Anna and her husband, George Calvin Prescott, son of William Daniel and Harriet (Richourg) Prescott, lived northwest of Elba on Taylor Mill Road. During the 1890s they moved to Geneva County and later to Gaskin, Florida, where he was engaged in extensive sheep raising. They had the following children: Jesse A., b. 1875, d. 1958, m. (1) India Miller (2) Pearlie Richburg; General Columbus &uot;Billy,&uot; b. 1877, d. 1925, m. Susan Parker; Infant, b.&d. 1880; Harriet Elizabeth Lena, b. 1881, d. 1966, m. Asa Elbert Turner; Infant, b.&d. 1883; Ava &uot;Pinkie,&uot; b. 1884, d. 1942, m. W. Robert Parker; Daniel Calvin, b. 1887, d. 1905; David Gaston, b. 1889, d. 1979, m. Lela Miller; O'Cola B., b. 1891, d. 1980, m. Jesse Jackson Angel; Estelle, b. 1895, d. 1974, m. John Tiller Parish; John Burrus, b. 1897, d. 1970, m. Delia Feezor; Lafayette McKinley, b. 1900, m. Dulceney and her husband, John L. Foley, lived in the Dannelley Crossroads community where he was a farmer. He served as a deacon and clerk for the Bethany Primitive Baptist Church and as a member of the Coffee County Board of Education for many years. His obituary in 1936 in the &uot;Elba Clipper&uot; stated, &uot;He was one of Coffee County's most influential citizens and a man of exemplary life and deeds.&uot;

Dulceney and John reared the following children: William D., b. 1887, d. 1926, m. Irene Boland; Evelyn &uot;Evie,&uot; b. 1889, d. 1978, m. Joe Taylor Young; Minnie, b. 1891, d. 1982, m. Sam Harp Blue; Levie B., b. 1893, d. 1961, m. Exa Donaldson; Ada W., b. 1895, d. 1981, m. (1) ? Davis (2) Joseph Arthur Johnson; John L. Jr., b. 1903, d. 1958, m. ?; James C., b. 1904, d. 1947, m. Helen Sylvester; Jesse Elizabeth, b. 1905, d. before 1978, m. J. Hugh Richburg; and Cecil E., b. 1908, d. before 1978.

Vianna and her husband, Daniel C. Taylor, were early settlers in the new town of Opp where he operated a business. They reared the following children in Opp: Cleve, d. 1973; Clara, m. N.F. Faille; Teety Bell, b. 1900, d. 1973, m. Orth Jones; Mollie, d. after 1973, m. Dan Dorsey; Cumie, b. 1893, d. 1983, m. Samuel &uot;Tup&uot; Benton; Dollie, b. 1896, d. 1954, m. Robert Clem Woodham; Owen; Dewey, b. 1902, d. 1987; and W. Chatham.

General V. And his wife, Julia, began their life together in the Friendship community, but they later moved to Sanford where he operated a farm. They had the following children: Albert E., b. 1897, d. 1965; Burey, b. 1898, d. 1982, m. (1) Dura Stanley (2) Maude (Stanley) Harden; Nealie, b. 1899, d. 1997, m. Robert &uot;Bob&uot; Cowen; Ada, b. 1901, d. 1983, m. William Wiley Short; Dollie, b. 1903, d. 1995, m. Coach Huggins; Tolbert, b. ca 1905; Jesse, b. 190p7, m. Gladys Meacham; Jason Frank, b. 1909, d. 1988, m. Bertha Simpler; Ruth, b. 1911, d. 1997, m. John Cooper; and Pearl, b. 1913, d. 1991, m. Fred Clark.

Tea Anna and her husband, Jesse Lindsey, lived in Elba where farmed and later managed a cotton warehouse business. They had the following children: Emma, b. 1885, d. 1888; Infant, b.&d. 1889; Infant, b.&d. 1890; John L., b. 1892, d. 1894; Jesse Jordan, b. 1895, d. 1966, m. Gussie Mae Ham; and Jason F., b. 1897, d. 1899.

Mallard and his wife, Mattie, lived near Opp and reared the following children: Norah, b. 1894, d. 1977, m. Alex Huggins; Winnefred E., b. 1897, d. 1959, m. Harlan Moulton; Lettie, b. 1898, d. 1948, single; James Piney, b. 1900, d. 1957, (1) Mary Estha Jones (2) Bertie Davis; Viola, b. 1903, d. 1974, m. M.G. Moore; Stella, b. ca 1905, m. ? Jackson; Hubbard Tamas, b. 1907, d. 1935, m. Missouri Coon; Malzie Mae, b. 1908, d. 1980, m. Ernest F. Metcalf; Myrtle, b. 1911, m. (1) J.O. Mulkey (2) ? Salisbury; Lucille, b. 1912, d. 1994, m. William E. Lunsford; Monice Arline, b. 1915, d. 1977, single; Orell, b. 1917; and Martha Odell, b. 1917, d. 1966, m. Jeff D. Morrison.

Celia and her husband, Jacob Benton, were among the first settlers of the Town of Opp when it began to grow during the early 1900s. Jacob was among the first businessmen of the young town. He owned a drygoods store and one of the largest horse and mule trading operations in the area. They reared the following three children: William Dee, b. 1893, d. 1944, m. Mary Ida Sellers; Jesse Alma, b. 1900, d. 1998, m. Joseph Edge; and Frank Jacob, b. 1904, d. 1962.
