Bonnie McElhaney

Bonnie McElhaney, age 65, of Jamestown, died Saturday, June 15, 2002 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. McElhaney was born March 4, 1937 in Andalusia. She was the daughter of the late Willie and O'Velma Ammons Howard.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 19 at 2 p.m. in the Jennings Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sammie Dunford officiating. Burial followed in the Fentress Memory Gardens.

Mrs McElhaney is survived by her husband, Sam McElhaney of Jamestown; sons, randy McElhaney of Jamestown, William newton of Augusta, S.C., Ricky Newton of Andalusia, Justin McElhaney of Jamestown; daughters, Stacy Mcelhaney of Jamestown, TN.; brothers, Willie Howard Jr. of Andalusia, Donnie Hugh-Howard of Andalusia; step-children, Samia Cardwell, Sidney McElhaney; sisters, Karen McLendon of Andalusia, Syble Grissett of Andalusia, Patricia Ballard of McKenzie, Nedra Apodaca of Ft. Worth, Tx. and five grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Brodious Howard.

Pallbearers included Randy McElhaney, Larry Howard, Jimmy Howard, William Newton, Justin McElhaney and Willie Howard Jr.

Danny Lamar McNeill

Danny Lamar McNeill, 52, of Florala, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 13 at 11 a.m. from the Foreman Funeral Home with Rev. Alfred Ikner officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Florala. The body will lie in state Friday at 5:30 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Edra McNeill of Florala; two sons, Chris McNeill and wife Sonya of Andalusia and Lance McNeill of Florala; two step sons, Josh and wife Lily Griffin and Justin Griffin all of Delmar; and one step daughter, Kim Cason of Florala; four grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. L. McNeill of Andalusia, a sister, Shirley McNeill of Andalusia, and a niece, Amanda McDonald.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Florala Public Library Building Fund, 510 North 4th St. Florala, Alabama 36442.

Thomas "Bud" Weaver, Jr.

Thomas "Bud" Weaver, Jr., age 69, Red Level died Monday, July 8, 2002 in a Pensacola hospital.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Keahey Funeral Home with Rev. Drexel Copeland officiating. Burial followed in Pigeon Creek Church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing. Special music was provided by Michael Bush, Elbert Craig and Frances Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Francis Weaver, Red Level; a son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Lynn Weaver, of Habana, Fla.; a daughter, Debra Weaver, of Red Level; three grandchildren, Hailey Weaver and Jonathan Weaver of Andalusia and Nicholas Chance, of Arkansas; sisters, Mary Ruth Richardson, of Panama City, Fla., Voncil Audrey Mills, Pace, Fla., Myrtle Louise Scott, Andalusia, and Margaret Jean Griggs, Mobile; and a brother, Gerald Byron Weaver, Lynn Haven, Fla.

Serving as pallbearers were Mike Brown, Gene Windham, Glen Gibson, Ezra Posey, Monroe Saffold and Michael Bush
