Little League baseball hits town this weekend.

Andalusia's 11- and 12-year-old Little League All-Stars will be the host team for the Little League State Tournament with games beginning Saturday at the Sports Complex.

Six teams will be in town along with their friends and family members for the tournament.

The tournament will begin at 5:30 p.m. with pregame activities.

The games begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday when the Russellville All-Stars face the Huntsville All-Stars.

The Jackson All-Stars face the Cottage Hill All-Stars in the second game of the night with the first pitch scheduled for 8 p.m.

The Andalusia All-Stars and the Phenix City All-Stars have first-round byes in the tournament.

Andalusia's All-Stars play the winner of the Russellville/Huntsville game on Sunday with the first pitch set for 8 p.m.

Phenix City plays at 6 p.m. on Sunday against the winner of Saturday's game between Jackson and Cottage Hill.

The tournament is scheduled to feature two games each night through at least Friday, July 26 with a second championship game slated for July 27, if necessary.

The members of the Andalusia 11- and 12-year-old All-Stars are David Dove, Taylor Wrench, Joe Kyser, Tom Wright, Nathan Shirey, Brannon Bryan, James Hogg, Jeffry Etheridge, Nick Cooper, Ryan Godwin, Brent Shiver and Taylor Culbreth. The coaching staff for the team includes Manager Phillip Shiver, Coach Michael Shirey and Coach Wayne Godwin.
