Kevin Peel has been at the front of South Alabama Speedway's Modified class all season. He continued his winning ways Saturday night, taking the win in a special 50-lap Modified Feature.

Peel set the fast time in qualifying, but lined up fourth after inversion. Curtis Galbreath took the lead from his outside front row starting spot and led the first half of the race.

Peel moved into second on lap 8, and began his assault on Galbreath. He made his move after a lap 25 restart, taking the lead on the 26th circuit. Peel survived two more cautions to take his 13th win of the season. Galbreath finished second with Mike Johnson third, Mike Hasty fourth and Doug Rogers fifth.

In another exciting Super Stock feature, Scott Anderson scored his 10th feature win of the season. Jerry Weatherington held the lead for the first 14 laps as Anderson moved his way through the field from his seventh place starting spot.

Anderson took the lead from Weatherington on the 15th lap and pulled away for the win. As Anderson took the checkered flag ahead of David Ashley, third place Weatherington spun coming out of turn four, causing a major pile up, as drivers weren't able to see through the cloud of smoke. Weatherington collected Jody Henderson and Bill Brown, running fifth, spun across the line third.

Tommy Adams came across the line backwards in fourth while Roy Childs came across fifth.

In Street Stock, Brian Martin took the lead from Scott Morse on lap 8 and held off Jamie Bowers for the win. Bowers was able to close to Martin's bumper, but Martin was able to run his grove and hold off the challenge. Robby Gill finished third, with Chad Roberts fourth and Tim Hudson fifth.

Ricky Osborn passed Perry Boin for the lead on lap nine to take the win in the Roadrunner Feature. After clearing Boin, Osborn pulled away to a comfortable margin and was never challenged. Boin finished second, Jason Singletary third, Larry Roberts fourth and Kim Bishop fifth.

In a special appearance by the Alabama Dwarf Car Series, Jimmy McDonald took the win in the 20-lap feature. McDonald passed Robert Hamm on lap 12 after Hamm had led the first part of the race. Phillip Clevenger finished third ahead of Paul Miller and Phil Riley.

Action continues next week with the Florida-based SARA Late Model Sportsman Series visiting. The popular series will have a 125-lap feature. Feature races are also included for local Super Stock, Street Stock, and Roadrunner classes.
