Thomas Phinney

Thomas Graden Phinney, 64, of Red Level, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, at his residence.

Graveside services were held Monday, Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. at Fairmount Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Williams officiating and Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include two brothers, Charles Phinney of Red Level and Clyde Stevens of Texas; a sister, Kay Crowley of Texas; and two aunts, Lorene DeMoss of Red Level and Joe Hazel Smith of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Julie Mae Phinney.

Nettie R. Archie

Nettie R. Archie, 81, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002 in Sebring, Fla.

A funeral will be held Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 6:30 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Wayne Bodiford of Sebring; two sisters, Syble Morrow of Andalusia and Betty Jones of Enterprise; two brothers, Gaston Worthington of Andalusia and Willie Ray Worthington of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford C. and Letha B. Worthington.

Thelma Fern Lawson

Thelma Fern Lawson, 74, of Andalusia died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, at the Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 16 at 3 p.m.

at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Special music was provided by the family, accompanied by pianist, Vandolyn Maddox. Burial followed in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Elwood Lawson of Andalusia; two sons, Danny Warthen of New Jersey, Donnie Warthen of Montgomery; step son, Danny Lawson of Opp; a brother, Frank Harrelson of Gantt; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Danny Warthen, Kevin Warthen, Randall Grimes, Earl Cleghorn, Earl Beck and Woody Warthen.

Ann Richardson

Ann Richardson, 66, of Andalusia died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, at her residence.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18 at New Hope Lutheran Church with Pastor James Endrihs officiating special music was provided by Lisa Carpenter. Burial followed in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home Directing.

Survivors include her husband, Walter Scott Richardson of Andalusia;

and a sister, Vivian Kay Garvin of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Izabel Schaub.

Hazel Smith

Hazel Smith, 90, of Andalusia died Wednesday, Aug.14, 2002,

in a local nursing home.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 17 at 10 a.m. at Mt. Gilead Church with Rev. Max Lisenby, Rev. Rex Odom, and Rev. Donald Hall officiated. Special music was provided by Bo Roughton accompanied by pianist Jackie Parker. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include one daughter, Opal S. Campbell of Decatur; a sister, Doris Holmes of Valley; two grandchildren, Michael Campbell and Michelle Collins; and two great-grandchildren Elle Campbell and Carson Campbell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Smith; and a son, Robert Smith.

Memorials may be made to the Mt. Gilead Building Fund.
