William Carl King

William Carl King, 67, of Pace Fla., formerly of Gantt died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, in a Pensacola Hospital.

A native of Brewton, he joined the Masonic Lodge in Gantt and has remained a member of the Masons for 31 years.

A funeral will be held Saturday, Sept.7 at 2 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home on Hwy. 90 in Milton, Fla. Burial will follow in Serenity Gardens in Milton, Fla.

He is survived by his wife, Janie King of Pace Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy King and Gary McKay

of Andalusia; and a son and daughter-in-law, Rudy and Sara King of Marianna Fla.; three grandchildren, Todd Rutledge, Torey Cobb, and Ashton Robertson; various stepchildren; grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Allen and Mary King of Brewton; a brother James Rudolph King of Pensacola, Fla.

Katie Jones

Katie Jones, age 66 of the Straughn Community died Tuesday, September 3, 2002 at her residence.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Friday at Keahey Funeral Home. Flowers would accepted or contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Shelton Mangum, Montgomery; mother, Elva Johnson of Andalusia; grandchildren, Joshua Wren, Jeremy Wren, Brian (Deena) Wren; sister, Erma Jewel Hart of Denton, Texas; aunt and uncle, Corda and Johnny Johnson of Dallas Texas.

Mrs. Jones was preceeded in death by her husband, James Thomas "Tommy" Jones earlier this year.

Bobby Jones

Bobby Jones, 46, of Wing, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002.

A funeral was held Friday, Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. at Rock Creek Apostolic Church in Wing.

Survivors include two sons, Josh Jones of Ft. Walton, Fla. and Chris Jones of Illinois; two daughters, Ashley Jones and April Jones, both of Wing; a brother, Kenneth Jones of Andalusia; and two sisters, Barbara Pace and Marie Wilkerson, both of Wing.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Henley.

Ester G. Burdeshaw

Ester G. Burdeshaw of Florala, died Friday,

September 6, 2002 in Crestview.
