Kathy Davis

Kathy Davis, 45, of Dozier, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002 in a Birmingham hospital.

Memorial services were held 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002 at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include father, Donald Ray Davis of Dozier; son Lucas Shane Monahan of Dozier; two brothers, Tom Davis of Dozier, Steven Davis of Dozier; two sisters, Julie Anderson of Tenn., Susan Fowler of Dozier; three nieces, Emily Fowler, Kristen Davis and Maggie Anderson; one nephew, Sam Fowler.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Jean Clark Davis.

Dorothy Blizzard, 74, of Andalusia died Sunday in Colquitt, Ga.

Harlan L. Ptomey, 75, of Andalusia died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002 at his residence.

Donald Edward Ballard

Donald Edward Ballard, 63, of Brantley died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002 at his residence.

He was a a veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served in the U.S. Army. He was a refrigeration and air conditioning technician before his retirement.

Funeral services were held at Foreman Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, 2002 with Rev. David Mount officiating. Burial followed at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Fort Rucker Military Honors by the U.S. Army.

Surviviors include his wife, Maydine Ballard of Brantley; three daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Ronnie Miller of Houstan,

Tx., Lisa and Billy Hilburn of Brantley, Roberta Abilla of Greenville. One son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Gail McIntire of Brantley; 15 grandchildren, Amber Larrimer; Melisha and Justin Miller, ; Timothy Dewayne Hilburn; Scotty Abilla, Zachary Abilla and Austin Abilla; Tana Hudson; two great-great grandchildren, Joseph and Hunter Larrimer; three sisters, Virginia Boyd of Andalusia, Mary Zeagler of Andalusia, Patty Breeden of Cleveland, Tenn.; one brother and sister in law, Pete and Ruth Ballard of Andalusia; a number of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

Pallbearers will be Bobby McIntire, Billy Hilburn, Timothy Hillburn, Donnie Hall, Robert Hilburn and Richard Shaw.
