Chants of "Roll Tide" will echo through the halls of the Andalusia Country Club later this month when the Covington County Chapter of the Alabama Alumni Association welcomes Chris King.

King, compliance director for the University of Alabama athletics, will be the guest speaker for the local chapter's meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. with a social followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $15 per person.

Prior to his stint at UCF, King was the Director of Compliance at Liberty University and also worked as a compliance assistant at Campbell while working on his master's degree.

Funds generated by the meeting will be used for scholarships that benefit students from Covington County who wish to attend the University of Alabama.

"Now is the time to make this a record-setting year for the Covington County UA Alumni Chapter," according to a release. "Friends, as well as alumni, are invited to send in their dues of $15 for individuals or $20 for joint membership.
