Our family wants all of you who helped us during our troubled times to know that you are greatly appreciated.

We wish we could express our gratitude to each one of you.

The Sheriff's Department was so well organized! They called together all the assisting agencies. All the agencies were dedicated and compassionate. They are a blessing to our community.

to each one of you- you are our friends indeed! May God bless each of you.

Grateful for assistance

Dear Editor:

I would like to say thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Thompson who live on the Gantt Red Level road. Me and my five year old son were on our way home, just after dark, when our vehicle broke down. We walked to the Thompson's house to call for help. While we were there they gave my son homemade cookies and showed him their horses and other animals while we waited for our ride home. I don't know many people that would go out of their way for strangers. Thanks for reminding us that there are still some nice people left. I know that it was an experience that my son will not soon forget.

Wants info about Alabama

Dear Editor:

I am a fifth grade student, and my class is studying America and American history. We have been asked to write research reports on one of our favorite states in America I have chosen on Alabama. The reports will cover topics such as history, culture, geography, jobs, and places of interest. The reason I am writing is to ask if you would publish my letter in your paper.

I am hoping some of your readers will write to me and tell me about the experiences while living and working in Andalusia I live in Southern California and am sure many things about Andalusia are different from where I live. Also, if any of your readers find time to reply, it would be great if they would enclose a copy of my published letter.
