Once again, the Covington Arts Council has outdone itself and has proven that just because we live far from cosmopolitan areas, doesn't mean we don't have cosmopolitan tastes.

The arrival of "Ain't Misbehavin' " on stage tonight at the Dixon Center for the Performing Arts at Lurleen B. Wallace Community College is yet another excellent venue to broaden our horizons and entertain our minds.

Based on the music of the legendary Thomas "Fats" Waller, "Ain't Misbehavin'" is a romp. Full of the hot, lively sounds of the Golden Age of Harlem jazz, the show promises to bring March in like a lion, and to keep that lion dancing in the aisles.

The Covington Arts Council is a group of people - mostly volunteers - constantly working to make sure only the best in arts entertainment is brought to Covington County. Their dedication to, and knowledge of the arts and Covington County ensures that our citizens and children are given every opportunity to witness or take part in the finest in performing and visual arts.

However, without your support, the arts council will not be able to maintain such high caliber entertainment.

At a recent civic and service organization meeting, an arts council member said filling seats is one of the best ways to show your support.

We encourage everyone to get out to the Dixon Center and fill a seat and show their support. Come early, because with a show like this, seats will go early. And remember, seating may be limited, but the potential for future arts programs is not.
