James H. "Bud" Clark

James H. "Bud" Clark, 74, of Andalusia, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003 in an Andalusia hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2003 from the Foreman Funeral Home chapel with burial in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Special music was provided by Don Lingle, soloist and Martha Givhan organist.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Clark; a son and daughter-in-law, James Harold and Barbara Clark of Spanish Fort; a daughter, Kimberly Ann Clark of Montgomery; two grandchildren, Rique A. Clark and Samantha Clark; one brother, Jack R. Clark of Andalusia; one sister, Elizabeth Kelly of Hagerstown, MD.

Pallbearers were Rex Henderson, Leslie Kilpatrick, Ellie Ray; Raymond Mercer, Roy Weaver and Dick Kelly.

Frances Lavonia Thomason

Frances Lavonia (Grissett) Thomason, 96, of Youngstown, N.Y. died of natural causes on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital under the care of Hospice. Mrs. Thomason was born on Feb. 20, 1907 in Red Level.

She is survived by one son, Bradus A. (Bud) Thomason of Youngstown, N.Y.; one daughter, Betty J. Corsaro of West Palm Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in 1972.

Memorial services were held at the Peter A. Wilson Funeral Chapel, Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003. Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, Niagara Falls, N.Y. If desired, memorials may be made to the Niagara Frontier Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport N.Y., 14094.

Loyette Nolen Curry

Loyette Nolen Curry, 87, of Red Level died Tuesday, March 11, 2003 in a Montgomery nursing home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2003 at Foreman Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in Mott Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, Macadoo Jones of Red Level; sons, Donald (Judy) Curry of Red Level and Larry (Susan) Curry of Selma; grandchildren, Brian Curry and Amanda Blauvelt; great-grandchild, Alyssa Curry, Peyton Benson and Clayton Blauvelt; sisters, Sara Dismuke of Charleston, S.C. and Dot Pierce of Monroeville; Ruday Nolen and Marcus Nolen of Red Level.

Annie Mae Owens

Annie Mae Owens, 90, of Andalusia died Tuesday, March 11, 2003 in a Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. nursing home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2003 at Carolina Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Taylor. Burial will follow in Carolina Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.

Survivors included her son and daughter-in-law, Grady and Joann Owens of Andalusia; grandchildren, Jerry Owens and Donna Yates; four great-grandchildren; brothers, James Griggs, Albert Griggs and David Griggs, all of Andalusia; sisters, Margie Blackmon and Penny Kirkland, both of Andalusia.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.
