Wind, rain, lightning halt softball game

Andalusia held a 2-1 lead in the high school softball game between the Straughn Lady Tigers and Andalusia Lady Bulldogs when dark clouds a nd strong winds began to descend upon the Andalusia Sports Complex on Thursday.

The Lady Bulldogs added three more runs to their lead before the game was postponed.

The Lady Bulldogs held a 5-1 lead when the game was postponed and the remainder of the game will be completed when the two teams square off later this season at Straughn High School's softball field.

The Andalusia Lady Bulldogs are not scheduled to return to the diamond until after Spring Break which begins when school lets out this afternoon.

The Straughn lady Tigers also have the week of Spring Break off before returning to action on Tuesday, March 25 when they host the Pleasant Home Lady Eagles for a doubleheader. The doubleheader is slated to begin at 3 p.m.
