Booster club appreciates sponsors

The Andalusia Bulldog Booster Club would like to thank the many businesses and individuals who participated in our fourth annual golf tournament. Without their support, we would not afford to furnish our many athletes and cheerleaders with the best and safest equipment.

Thinks beer at event was disgusting

Dear Editor:

I do not know who thought of the idea of a "Spring Fling" here in Andalusia. To me, I honestly thought it was a great family-oriented affair until I drove up on the parking lot Friday afternoon to watch my granddaughter play softball. The very first thing I see is a huge Miller beer truck parked next to a large tent that I suppose was fixed to sell the beer.

This was the most disgusting sight to think this was a family (kids and all) type of event, I do not approve of drinking any kind of alcohol and time or place, but that is up to the individual, but let's do not encourage our kids to do this thing, I think we have all seen what this can do to everyone. Let's do not a ruin a good event for the family by allowing alcohol to be a part of it.
